A parent virtual machine instance may be identified to host the one or more virtual machine instances. Virtual machine images associated with the one or more virtual machine instances may be consolidated. A composite parent virtual machine image may be created based on the consolidated virtual machine images and the parent virtual machine instance. The parent virtual machine instance may be configured to accommodate for capacity requirement of the one or more child virtual machine instances. The parent virtual machine instance may be started on a processor via the composite parent virtual machine image. The one or more virtual machine instances may be started within the parent virtual machine instance as one or more child virtual machine instances.

    摘要: Troubleshooting virtual environment deployment based on two level file system signatures, in one aspect, may include creating a first level file system signature including a set of file names of files in an image of a virtual machine taken at a point in time and associated status of the files as compared with an image of the virtual machine taken at a preceding point in time. A second level file system signature may be created using file content differences of the files having modified status in the set of file names. The first level file system signature may be compared with a first level file system signature pattern associated with one or more previous deployment of the same software and related to the same point in time. Optionally, the second level file system signature may be compared with a second level file system signature pattern.
