摘要： A computer program product, electronic device and method are provided that enable a user to easily view, in a tooltip, all of the entities of a plurality of entities contained in a cell of a table when the width of the cell prevents the cell display from showing all of the entities. In response to a tooltip being opened for a cell of a table, the cell having a plurality of entities, at least a portion of the plurality of entities is displayed in the tooltip. An indicia expressive of a total number of the plurality of entities is also displayed. Alternate embodiments provide navigation aids in the tooltip to assist a user in more conveniently viewing all of the entities.

摘要： An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for aurally indicating progress. In one embodiment, a node count module determines a node threshold. A discovery module searches for a plurality of nodes over a communications channel wherein each node is autonomously connected to the communications channel. In addition, the discovery module receives a reply from a node. The node count module may direct an indicator module to modify an aural indicator in response to the node count exceeding the node threshold. The indicator module further emits the aural indicator.

摘要： In a computer system having a word processing application adapted for speech recognition, a method and system to propagate corrections in dictated text. in response to a first user command, a first error word is selected to be corrected from a word processing file containing dictated text. The error word is replaced by a correct word selected by a user. The system subsequently searches the dictated text contained in the document fie in response to another user command to locate a second or subsequent error word that is a close acoustic match to the first error word. The second or subsequent error word may then be replaced using a word selected from an alternate word list.

An item in a display is selected. The system determines whether the selected item matches the color that the non-color identifier was assigned to. The method involves a series of steps including: receiving data representative of a speech recognition system user input; comparing the data to a grammar defined for the speech recognition system to determine whether the data is representative of a user input which is a valid system command; and notifying the user as to whether the data is representative of a valid system command. The process can also involve the additional steps of determining a functional expression for the data; and comparing the functional expression to a set of all functional expressions permitted in the grammar to identify any alternate user inputs for producing the functional expression.

The methods and apparatus of the present invention permit a user through the medium of a parenthetical-expression-capable tabular query interface both to group at least two logical expressions with a single level of parentheses and to embed parenthetical expressions within multi-level parenthetical expressions. The methods and apparatus of the present invention also permit a user to quickly and easily logically un-combine expressions that have been grouped using a parenthetical expression feature of a tabular query user interface made in accordance with the present invention. Further, the interactive tabular query interface also has a preview window for depicting dynamically a query as it is formulated.
