摘要: An illumination device (1) comprises: at least one low-power light source (50); a power input stage (20) suitable for receiving AC low voltage from an electronic transformer (ET); a power buffer stage (30) having an input (31) connected to the input stage output (29); a driver (40) for driving the light source and receiving electric power supply from the power buffer stage. The power input stage generates output current pulses for charging the power buffer stage at a relatively low frequency, and during each output current pulse, the power input stage draws input current, the input current always having a current magnitude higher than a minimum load requirement of the electronic transformer.

摘要: A LED retrofit driver circuit (3) is provided, comprising at least an input (6) for receiving an operating voltage from a power supply (2), an output (8) for connection to one or more LED units (5), a power converter (7) connected with said input (6) and said output (8) and configured to provide a lamp current (50) at said output (8) during operation in at least a first and a second operating state. To provide a versatile circuit (3), allowing operation with a variety of power supplies and under various load conditions, in said first operating state, the power converter (7) is adapted to switch between a high current generating mode (40), in which the power converter (7) is configured to draw current pulses from said power supply (2) to provide a first average input current (33a), and an OFF mode (42) in which no current is drawn from said power supply (2). In said second operating state, said power converter (7) is adapted at least to operate in a low current generating mode (41), in which the power converter (7) is configured to draw a current from said power supply (2) to provide a second average input current (33b) which is lower than said first average input current (33a).

摘要: A circuit arrangement for controlling the brightness of at least one LED unit is described by the disclosure. The circuit arrangement, in one example, includes an input for receiving a phase-cut operating voltage from a power supply, a signal processor, connected with the input and adapted to provide a dimming signal for the at least one LED unit from the operating voltage. To allow an efficient reduction of noise in the dimming signal but simultaneously to allow an improved dimming of the LED unit, the signal processor are configured to operate at least in a noise suppression mode and a dimming mode. A control device is provided, connected with the signal processor and configured to set the mode of the signal processor in dependence of the variation in the operating voltage.

摘要: A lighting device, such as a replacement lighting device, comprising a light source (LS), e.g. LEDs, for producing light along an optical axis (OA). A heat sink (HS) made of a material with an electrical resistivity being less than 0.01 Ωm, e.g. a metallic heat sink being a part of the housing, transports heat away from the light source (LS). A Radio Frequency (RF) communication circuit (CC) connected to an antenna (A) serves to enable RF signal communication, e.g. to control the device via a remote control. Metallic components, including the heat sink (HS), having an extension larger than 1/10 of a wavelength of the RF signal are arranged below a virtual plane (VP) drawn orthogonal to the optical axis (OA) and going through the antenna (A). Hereby a compact device can be obtained, and still a satisfying RF radiation pattern can be obtained. The antenna can be a wire antenna or a PCB antenna, e.g. a PIFA or a IFA type antenna. In a special embodiment the antenna is formed on a ring-shaped PCB with a central hole allowing passage of light from the light source. Preferably, the antenna is positioned at least 2 mm in front of the heat sink (HS).

摘要: A lamp driver circuit supplies an alternating current having an operating frequency to a lamp, e.g. a fluorescent lamp, for operating the lamp. To switch off the lamp, the frequency of the alternating current is changed to a non-operating frequency. Due to the frequency change, the impedance of an impedance element of the lamp driver circuit is changed. As a result, the lamp current decreases to zero and the lamp extinguishes. According to the invention, the current having the non-operating frequency is employed to generate a voltage to be supplied to a further circuit, such as a control circuit. Thus, the lamp driver circuit and an associated control circuit may operate in an operating mode or in a standby, i.e. non-operating, mode without requiring a separate voltage supply source. In the standby mode, the control circuit may be controlled to switch the lamp driver circuit from the non-operating mode into the operating mode, thereby switching the lamp on.
