The generated display object includes on-line journal representations shown within the social network communities to which they belong. This visual organization is provided through a treemap representation, in which an enclosing region for a set of journals is broken up into sub-regions corresponding to social network communities. Representations of individual on-line journals are provided as inner regions within the sub-regions for the communities. The enclosing region, sub-regions and inner regions may be rectangular, or any other specific geometric shape as appropriate for a given application. The relative size of an inner region representing a specific journal may be determined based on how strongly related that journal is to the other members of the community, or on how active that journal is in terms of reads or writes, or based on some other criteria.

The specific content included in the Weblog author defined, Weblog specific search scopes may, for example, include content repositories specified in one or more Weblog-specific content association features, such as a list of the Weblog author's favorite content repositories, the Weblog author's blogroll, or another Weblog-specific content association. The content repositories specified by the Weblog author for a search scope may further include other individually specified Weblogs, document libraries, discussion forums, collaborative workspaces, etc., as may be accessed over the Web, and/or within local area network controlled by an enterprise associated with the Weblog. A user interface is provided to the Weblog author that allows him or her to define custom search scopes the Weblog. In another aspect of the disclosed system, a user interface is provided that allows readers of the Weblog to rate individual ones of multiple custom search scopes provided through the Weblog, and/or add comments associated with individual ones of the multiple custom search scopes provided through the Weblog.

    摘要: A software development tool utilizes an intermediate object modeling language. The structure of the desired program is first described graphically by generating rule diagrams, state diagrams, and object diagrams such as user interface diagrams, event diagrams and other object diagrams. The development tool employs the diagrams to generate a working model of the program expressed in the object modeling language. The working model of the program can be executed without lengthy compiling, and hence program behavior can be quickly observed and tested. Further, the behavior of the working model can be quickly and easily changed by modifying the diagrams until the desired result is achieved. Source code is then generated from the object modeling language and compiled to create the final program.
