    摘要: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes plural ultrasound transducers which perform transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves toward a target site of a subject containing a puncture needle. A method of transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic wave uses the ultrasound transducers. The apparatus and the method form an ultrasonic beam to be transmitted from a transmit aperture set on the ultrasound transducers, acquire information relating to a specular-reflective component of the ultrasonic beam in the puncture needle, set a first receive aperture different from the transmit aperture set on the ultrasound transducers on the basis of the information relating to the specular-reflective component of the ultrasonic beam, and process an ultrasonic echo signal received by the ultrasound transducers using the first receive aperture.

    摘要: There has been a demand to accelerate image data conversion through the use of the error diffusion method. To convert image data, it is determined whether a specified block process condition is satisfied on the basis of a gradation value for each pixel in a target block. When the block process condition is true, a process is performed to diffuse a gradation error for the entire target block and convert image data for pixels in the target block at a time. Even when the block process condition is false, it is determined whether to form a dot in the target block. When it is determined that no dot should be formed, a process is performed to diffuse a gradation error for the entire target block to the unconverted pixels in another block and convert image data for pixels in the target block.

    摘要: A spectral printing model converter is used to convert ink amount data to spectral reflectance of a color patch to be printed according to the ink amount data. A plurality of sample ink amount data each representing a set of ink amounts of plural inks is provided, and each sample ink amount data is converted into spectral reflectance of a virtual sample patch to be printed with the ink amounts represented by the sample ink amount data using the spectral printing model converter. An evaluation index is calculated for each sample ink amount data, where the evaluation index includes a color difference index and an image quality index of the virtual sample patch to be printed according to the sample ink amount data. The color difference index represents a color difference between a sample color which is calculated from the spectral reflectance and a comparative color which is selected as a basis for comparison. Plural sample ink amount data is then selected based on the evaluation index, and a profile defining correspondence between calorimetric value data and ink amount data is produced based on the selected plural sample ink amount data.

This method generates a dither matrix for determining a status of dot formation on each of print pixels of a print image to be formed on a print medium in response to input image data. The method comprising: determining a targeted threshold value from among a plurality of threshold values, the targeted threshold value having a highest tendency for dot formation to be On among threshold values for which storage elements are to be determined; determining a storage element for the targeted threshold value from among a plurality of candidate storage elements based on a matrix evaluation value, the matrix evaluation value representing a correlation with a prescribed objective state, the matrix evaluation value being calculated respectively on a presupposition of hypothetical dot On/Off states, the hypothetical dot On/Off states resulting from the targeted threshold value being stored in each of the plurality of candidate storage elements that are candidates for storing the targeted threshold value; and repeating the determining the targeted threshold value and the determining the storage element for at least part of the plurality of threshold values.
