    摘要: The present invention utilizes high magnetic flux materials to substantially increase the power which can be transmitted from a magnetic driver, disposed outside of a vessel containing a fluid being processed, to a magnetically responsive agitator means disposed inside the vessel. This invention now enables the agitation, e.g., mixing, blending, etc., of fluids processed in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food processing industries, where relatively high torques are encountered, by non-contaminating magnetic drive means heretofore precluded in such applications. Means for producing vibrational agitation, and for reducing wear of the internal agitator bearing are also disclosed.

    摘要: A magnetic coupled mixer which contains a drive magnet that can be remotely coupled to a driven magnet. The drive magnet is coupled to a motor shaft assembly by a yoke. The yoke is adapted to translate relative to the motor shaft assembly and move the drive motor between a first position and a second position. The magnets are decoupled when the yoke and drive magnet are in a first position. When the yoke is moved into the second position the drive magnet is magnetically coupled to the driven magnet, such that rotation of the drive magnet rotates the driven magnet. The yoke has an annular groove that is adapted to receive a lever. The lever can be rotated by the operator to move the yoke and drive magnet between the first and second positions.

    摘要: An agitator tank with a magnetically coupled mixer. The mixer includes a drive magnet that is connected to a drive shaft. The drive magnet and drive shaft are both located within a drive housing that is fastened to the tank in a sealess fashion. The housing separates the drive magnet from a driven magnet that is attached to an impeller. The magnets are magnetically coupled so that rotation of the drive magnet induces a rotation of the driven magnet and impeller. The drive shaft is coupled to a motor which rotates the shaft and the drive magnet. The magnets are oriented so that the coupling surface of each magnet is essentially parallel with the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft, preferably in a circular pattern around the center of the shaft.

    摘要: A transporter which allows a single motor/magnetic coupler assembly to be coupled to one of a plurality of agitator tanks. The transporter includes an arm which is pivotally connected to a frame. The arm supports a motor and an outer magnetic mixer assembly that can be coupled to an inner magnetic mixer assembly located within the inner cavity of an agitator tank. The arm is adapted so that an operator can move the outer magnetic mixer assembly between a first position and a second position. The outer assembly is coupled to the inner assembly when in the second position and decoupled from the inner assembly when in the first position. The transporter has wheels so that the operator can move the outer assembly and motor from one agitator tank to another agitator tank.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for providing secondary containment of fluids along a portion of a piping system having a fluid regulation control device disposed about a portion of that piping system. In one aspect, the invention includes providing a lower housing for containing at least a lower portion of the fluid regulation control device, an upper housing for containing at least part of an upper portion of the fluid regulation control device, and means for sealably and securably attaching the upper housing to the lower housing. The lower housing has an inlet opening formed therein for a sealable introduction of an inlet for the fluid regulation control device. The lower housing also includes an outlet opening formed therein for sealable introduction of an outlet of the fluid regulation control device. The lower housing includes a lower section having a sealed lower end and an open upper end. The upper end has an upper edge surface with recesses thereon forming lower segments of the inlet and outlet openings. The lower housing also includes an upper section having an open upper end and an open lower end. The lower end of the upper section has a lower edge surface which is sealably attachable to the upper edge surface of the lower section. The upper section has recesses thereon forming upper segments of the inlet and outlet openings. The upper housing has an open lower end thereof being sealably and securably attachable to the open upper end of the upper section of the lower housing.
