摘要： An apparatus for sealing a housing to prevent the escape of airborne material therefrom. Carrier beads are captured and suspended in a magnetic field extending across a region adapted to be sealed, forming a curtain of carrier beads for preventing the escape of airborne material, including toner particles, therepast. The carrier bead curtain is continuously collapsed and regenerated as carrier beads are captured, accumulated, and deposited into the housing.

摘要： A development system for a reproduction machine includes a pair of augers which mix and transfer the developer mixture to a magnetic roll brush system. A supply auger having a length at least as great as said magnetic brush roll is positioned along a horizontal plane and adapted to transport developer material in a direction so as to supply said material to said magnetic brush roll. The auger has a first portion thereof having an irregular blade edge and wedge shaped paddles to eliminate auger mark print defects.

摘要： A shipping and retail display pallet pack having a base adapted to receive one end of the articles to be shipped and displayed mounted on a pallet. The base has a formed seat for each article to be shipped and displayed and retainer walls dividing the interior of the base into a compartment for each article. A top retainer, vertically separated from the base, has a plurality of cavities which enclose the ends of the articles opposite the base. For shipping side panels enclose the pallet pack between the base and the top retainer and a cover is disposed of the top retainer. Horizontal strapping secures the side panels to the base and the top retainer and vertical strapping secures the cover on top of the top retainer and the remainder of the pallet pack to a shipping pallet.

摘要： A channel for recirculating a stream of air located adjacent a stream of marking particles exiting substantially tangentially from a marking particle transport member within a developer unit is provided. The stream of marking particles defines an inner boundary thereof extending tangentially from a first position adjacent to the transport member and defines an outer boundary thereof spaced from the transport member and the inner boundary. The channel includes a first member positioned outside the stream of marking particles. At least a portion of the first member is positioned substantially adjacent the outer boundary of the stream of marking particles and is spaced from the transport member. The channel also includes a second member connected to the first member and a third member connected to the second member. The second member is positioned adjacent the transport member and is spaced from the stream of marking particles. Substantially all the stream of air being directed by the first member is sequentially directed by the second member and the third member.
