    摘要: A mounting assembly is provided for mounting a sensing component of an alarm system in a predetermined orientation adjacent to the inner edge of a door or window frame having an outer surface. The assembly includes two angle brackets adapted to fit over the inner edge of the frame, each having a support flange and a positioning flange. A flat planar support surface on each support flange is arranged in a predetermined orientation for receiving thereagainst a flat planar mounting surface of the sensing component mounting member. Locating pins on the support surfaces are receivable in locating holes in the mounting member to facilitate alignment of the screw apertures in the mounting member and bracket for fastening them together and to the door frame. Steps on the positioning flange facilitate cutting same to a desired length.

    摘要: A computer system includes a monitor having a universal serial bus (USB) interface for connecting with a base system. Multiple button and LED controls are conveniently placed on a front bezel of the monitor. As the buttons are actuated, commands are passed to the base system via the USB. An on-screen display button causes an application to be launched on the base system for modifying screen attributes stored in a monitor controller in the monitor. A USB controller in the monitor updates the monitor controller via the USB. A multifunction audio dial is toggled by a bezel button between volume, bass and treble functions. The USB controller is also operable to provide a sustain a blinking LED even while the base system is in a sleep mode. LEDs on the front bezel indicate monitor and base system power status.

    摘要: A horn of improved, compact and efficient construction, formed of minimum numbers of components, is characterized by integrally formed parts which facilitate assembly of the horn and which increase the magnetic flux generated by the horn and the efficiency thereof, establish circuit paths within the horn without the need for separate conductors, and present terminals exteriorly of the horn for being connected with circuitry for operating the horn. The horn includes a housing having an open end and relatively imperforate wall areas, a bracket of magnetically permeable material supporting an electromagnetic coil within the housing, a diaphragm positioned over and closing the open end, a striker of magnetically permeable material connected with the bracket and operatively associated with the coil for repetitively striking the diaphragm to generate noise, and a cover having a sound directing port positioned over the diaphragm. The striker is normally urged against the diaphragm, and the bracket has portions which extend from one pole of the coil to a position adjacent the other pole for generating thereat a strong field of magnetic flux for attracting the striker away from the diaphragm. A pair of coil terminals and a terminal connected with the striker extend exteriorly of the housing, and the horn is mountable on a substrate having circuitry for connecting with the terminals and housing and for selectively applying a d.c. voltage thereto to operate the horn.

    摘要: A horn of improved, compact and efficient construction, formed of a minimum of components, is characterized by an electromagnetic coil within a closely confining magnetically permeable housing having an open end and relatively imperforate wall areas, a diaphragm positioned over and closing the open end, a striker operatively associated with the coil for repetitively striking the diaphragm to generate noise, and a cover having a sound directing port positioned over the diaphragm and forming therewith a sound chamber for directing generated noise toward and out of the port. The horn is thus formed of a small number of parts and is very economical.The housing itself serves as the electromagnetic flux path for the coil, and therefore reduces the number of parts and the number of manufacturing steps required in the production of the horn. At the same time, the relatively imperforate wall areas of the housing, together with maintenance of parallelism between the components of the horn, maximizes the noise generated by the horn.
