摘要： Methods and systems to minimize the number of messages transmitted between a client and a server in a client-server network. The messages may be error messages, and may be associated with a log such as an error log. The client requests permission of the server to transmit a message(s) to the server. Upon receipt of the request, the server provides the client with a filter, which may include a filter table with a filter parameter(s). The server may provide the filter in real time and/or without the client or server having to go off-line. The client uses the filter to filter at least a selected message from the message(s). Once the client has filtered the selected message the client transmits the selected message and/or the associated log of the selected message to the server.
