摘要： A packet-switching connection is set up from a mobile station through a first transceiver unit, whereby the mobile station is assigned to a first cell and a first residence zone. As the mobile station moves to a second cell and a second residence zone, the connection is assigned a residence zone change identification. A transfer procedure for the packet-oriented connection from the first cell to the second cell is carried out. After the transfer procedure a data exchange by the packet-switched connection is reestablished. After reestablishing the data exchange a procedure for residence zone exchange is carried out.
