摘要: A UV-transmissable window assembly for a DMD device includes a UV-transmissable glass window provided in a frame. The window and frame are bonded together to preferably effect a hermetic seal therebetween. Optical coatings specific to the intended wavelength of light transmission are applied to the inner and outer surfaces of the glass window to reduce reflection and increase light transmission therethrough. The window assembly, and DMD provided with the same, is adapted for excellent transmission of ultraviolet light, even at the deep ultraviolet portion of the spectrum. The DMD window assembly has application in the medical arts, both surgery and device manufacture, in the production of integrated circuits (IC), and in other optical lithography applications, among other fields.

摘要: A laser eye surgery system includes a laser for producing a laser beam capable of making refractive corrections, an optical system for shaping and conditioning the laser beam, a digital micromirror device (DMD) for reflecting the shaped and conditioned beam toward the eye, and a computer system for controlling the mirrors of the DMD. The computer system generates one-bit resolution images corresponding to ablation layers defining a correction for the eye. The images are then transferred to the DMD for appropriate reflection of the laser beam toward the eye such that the shape of the cornea of the eye is corrected.

The content data includes a graphics program configured to execute on the graphics card of the client device to generate graphics content. A compatibility test program includes a test instruction executable on the graphics card to generate a compatibility indication that is indicative of whether the graphics card of the client device is capable of correctly executing the graphics program. 摘要: A method for logging events in a graphics program executable on a GPU is implemented in a computing device and includes receiving the graphics program via the computing device, receiving a selection of a variable on which the graphics program operates, where the variable is stored in a memory of the graphics card during execution of the graphics program, and where the graphics program does not output a value of the variable when the graphics program is executed, and automatically generating a logging instruction executable on the GPU. The logging instruction causes the value of the selected variable to be output via the graphics card when the graphics program is executed. The method further includes automatically generating a log processing instruction executable on the CPU, where the log processing instruction retrieves the selected variable output via the graphics card to obtain the value of the variable at the computing device.

摘要: A high speed, high resolution, programmable laser beam modulating apparatus includes a computer connected to a high resolution micromirror array having individually addressable and movable mirrors. The computer is also connected to a pulsed laser for controlling the emission thereof. A beam homogenizing optic changes an ablating input beam from the laser into a homogeneous beam having a uniform cross-sectional energy density. The mirrors are movable between an "on" position for reflecting a portion of the homogeneous beam onto a cornea, and an "off" position for reflecting the beam away from the cornea. The computer is programmed to move the mirrors to the "on" position in a series of predetermined patterns, and the remaining mirrors to the "off" position, and to fire the laser during the presence of each pattern, so that corresponding patterns of tissue on the cornea are successively ablated therefrom. The ablated patterns are overlaid on each other, so that they combine to produce a contour change in the cornea and correct a refractive error thereof.

摘要: A spacer element for spacing apart interleaved electrodes in an electrolytic cell is constructed of electrically non-conducting and corrosion-resistant material. The spacer element has an integral one-piece structure including a short cylindrical portion of length slightly greater than the thickness of the electrode plate onto which it is to be mounted and a circular head portion located at each end with an inner flat surface to engage the outer surface of the electrode plate with which the spacer element is assembled. Assembly of the spacer element with the electrode plate is effected in a unique procedure.
