摘要: A system for forming a corneal implant includes a cutting apparatus, which includes a laser source that emits a laser and optical elements that direct the laser. The system includes a controller implemented with at least one processor and at least one data storage device. The controller generates a sculpting plan for modifying a first shape of a lenticule formed from corneal tissue and achieving a second shape for the lenticule to produce a corneal implant with a refractive profile to reshape a recipient eye. The sculpting plan is determined from measurements relating to the lenticule having the first shape and information relating to a refractive profile for a corneal implant. The controller controls the cutting apparatus to direct, via the one or more optical elements, the laser from the laser source to sculpt the lenticule according to the sculpting plan to produce the corneal implant with the refractive profile.

摘要: Eye safety and eye tracking accuracy is enhanced through pupil-aware eye tracking, where a fringe pattern projection or illumination onto the eye is locally dimmed in an area corresponding to the pupil. Fringe projection local dimming is accomplished by modifying (locally dimming) the fringe pattern at the projector. Illumination local dimming is accomplished at the light source (e.g., a laser source) before the light is provided by a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) to the eye. An amount of light provided to non-pupil areas such as sclera may be increased to enhance a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which may lead to more accurate eye tracking.

摘要: A method for centring a contact glass relative to a patient's eye includes a) providing a fixation light through a contact glass to align the patient's eye glass fixing on the fixation light; b) detecting an image of a light pattern that is imaged on the eye's surface; c) presenting the image over the eye with the contact glass with overlaying of virtual markings, wherein a first marking identifies the central axis of the contact glass and a second marking identifies a reference marking, which is derived from the image of the light pattern as lying on the central axis of the contact glass; d) laterally positioning the contact glass such that a distance between the markings is minimized; and e) establishing the position of the eye at which the second marking is located when the markings adopt the minimized distance and registering the position of the vertex.

摘要: A UV-laser-based system (UVL-LVC system) for correcting the impaired vision of a patient's eye has a UV-laser source, which emits laser radiation to treat the patient's eye, and imaging optics for focusing the laser radiation onto the cornea of the patient's eye. The imaging optics allow a detection of a reflection of radiation, which is emitted onto the cornea of the patient's eye with the imaging optics and is at least partly reflected by the cornea of the patient's eye back into the imaging optics at an acceptance angle χMax of at least 2.5°. Additionally a method for centering a UVL-LVC system is disclosed.

摘要: An ophthalmic surgical laser system and method for forming a lenticule in a subject's eye using “fast-scan-slow-sweep” scanning scheme. A high frequency scanner forms a fast scan line, which is placed by the XY and Z scanners at a location tangential to a parallel of latitude of the surface of the lenticule. The XY and Z scanners then move the scan line in a slow sweep trajectory along a meridian of longitude of the surface of the lenticule in one sweep. Multiple sweeps are performed along different meridians to form the entire lenticule surface, and a prism is used to change the orientation of the scan line of the high frequency scanner between successive sweeps. In each sweep, the sweeping speed along the meridian is variable, being the slowest at the edge of the lenticule and the fastest near the apex.

摘要: An ophthalmic instrument for the application of laser radiation in a patient's eye, particularly for the examination and/or surgical laser treatment of the cornea and the lens of the eye, includes a femtosecond laser, an objective and optical assemblies. The optical assemblies are arranged in front of the objective, and selectively vary the focus position in the coordinate direction X, Y and Z either within the region of the cornea or within the region of the lens of the eye. The objective or at least one lens group is movable relative to the eye. The variation of the position of the lens group objective shifts the focus position from the cornea to the lens of the eye and vice versa.

摘要: According to certain embodiments, a system comprises one or more memories and one or more processors. The one or more memories store optical data from an optical recorder comprising at least two optical data sets by: receiving a first optical data set of an eye with a pupil having a first pupil size; and receiving a second optical data set of the eye with the pupil having a second pupil size. The one or more processors determine a pseudo-rotation related to a pupil size change, receive a measured cyclotorsion, calculate an actual cyclotorsion from the measured cyclotorsion and the pseudo-rotation, and adjust a laser treatment according to the actual cyclotorsion.

摘要: An integral laser imaging and treatment apparatus, and associated systems and methods that allow a physician (e.g., a surgeon) to perform laser surgical procedures on an eye structure or a body surface with an integral laser imaging and treatment apparatus disposed at a first (i.e. local) location from a control system disposed at a second (i.e. remote) location, e.g., a physician's office. In some embodiments, communication between the integral laser imaging and treatment apparatus and control system is achieved via the Internet®. Also, in some embodiments, the laser imaging and treatment apparatus is further configured to provide photodynamic therapy to a patient.
