    摘要: A recessed light fixture includes a thermally protected light emitting diode (“LED”) module. The thermally protected LED module includes a thermal protector positioned in series between a source of electrical power and an LED driver and is configured to open a circuit to prevent power from being supplied by the power source to the LED driver for an LED package when a thermal rating or activation temperature of the thermal protector is exceeded. For example, the maximum operating temperature of the LED driver may be 90 degrees Celsius, and the thermal rating of the thermal protector may be 80 degrees Celsius, and when the temperature of the driver or a mounting bracket upon which the driver is mounted reaches 80 degrees Celsius, the thermal protector opens a circuit and removes current flow from the power source to the driver, thereby removing power to the LED package.

    摘要: An undervoltage release device for a circuit breaker is disclosed having an operating mechanism, a trip bar, line and load terminals, and a cover. The device includes a housing, a solenoid, upper and lower actuators aligned with a plunger of the solenoid and in selective contact with the trip bar, plunger and actuator reset levers mounted upon the solenoid frame, and pair of terminals in electrical contact with the solenoid coil and line terminals of the breaker, wherein the force of the solenoid corresponds to the line voltage. Also disclosed is a method for tripping a circuit breaker when line voltage drops below a selected value, in a circuit breaker having an operating mechanism and a trip unit with an intermediate latch. The method includes steps of closing the circuit breaker with the operating mechanism, installing the device in a cover of the circuit breaker, the device having a solenoid with a plunger and a plurality of actuators in selective contact with the plunger and the trip unit; and wiring the solenoid in parallel with the load circuit, wherein the magnetic force of the solenoid is proportional to the line voltage and maintains the plunger in contact with the actuators, and wherein the plunger is released by the solenoid when the line voltage drops below the selected value, thereby providing for at least one actuator to contact the trip unit and open the circuit breaker.

    摘要: In an example embodiment of the present disclosure, a light fixture assembly comprises a surface mount light fixture. The surface mount light fixture comprises a trim having a first shape. The trim comprises an outer trim perimeter and an inner trim perimeter. The inner trim perimeter defines an orifice through which light is emitted, wherein the outer trim perimeter includes a chamfered edge. The light fixture assembly further includes a skin having a second shape similar to the first shape and configured to at least partially cover the trim. The skin includes an outer skin perimeter configured to surround the outer trim perimeter, an inner skin perimeter configured to surround the inner skin perimeter, and a raised coupling feature configured to grip the chamfered edge of the trim. The skin is coupled to the trim via the engagement of the raised coupling feature and the chamfered edge.
