    摘要: The present invention provides an image forming system. The image forming system includes at least a first color gamut information retaining component, a device information obtaining component, a color gamut information computing component, a comparison component and a judgment component. The color gamut information computing component computes second color gamut information that is a necessary gamut for image formation based on the image data to be output to an output device. The comparison component compares the second color gamut information computed by the color gamut information computing component and first color gamut information representing the color gamut that can be formed by the output device obtained by the device information obtaining component. The judgment component that judges based on the comparison result of the comparison component whether or not to output the image data to the output device to perform an image forming process.

    摘要: The invention provides a color processing method that is capable of improving the color reproduction accuracy by calculating an adequate amount of black component (referred to as K) with consideration of the coverage restriction when a four-color signal including the black component is generated from a color signal of a input color space. By a YMCK modeling unit, adjustment K calculation unit, restriction K calculation unit and optimal K modeling unit, modeling is performed between the representative color signal and the corresponding optimal K by use of plural color signals that belong to the partial color space, namely the color gamut that is reproducible with three colors and by use of plural color signals that belong to the area on the curved plane that is reproducible with four colors including the black component as the representative color signal. An optimal K determining unit predicts an optimal K corresponding to the input color signal in the input color space based on the model. Furthermore, a YMCK color signal calculation unit predicts three colors except the black component from the input color signal and the predicted optimal K. As described hereinabove, a four-color signal including K is generated.

    摘要: In an image processing apparatus, a first conversion unit converts, on the basis of an input device profile, input data into first device-independent data expressed by a color space that is independent of an apparatus. A storage unit stores plural conversion profiles for converting using a color appearance model in the color space that is independent of the apparatus in correspondence with plural device characteristics that are dependent on apparatuses. A selection unit selects a conversion profile corresponding to characteristics of the input device, characteristics of an output device, observation conditions of the input data and the output data. A second conversion unit converts, on basis of the selected conversion profile, the first device-independent data into second device-independent data. A third conversion unit converts the second device-independent data into the output data on the basis of an output device profile.

A K preservation 4DLUT preparation section 6 prepares a K preservation 4DLUT from the four color values adjusted, the L matching LUT, and the Lab value of the first and second raw data. A 4DLUT reset section 7 resets some of data in the prepared K preservation 4DLUT, whereby partial calorimetric match is intended.
