    摘要: In case of emergency such as a side crash of the vehicle, when gas from the inflator flows quickly forward through the gas inlet passage and reaches the closed end at the front end of the gas inlet passage, the internal pressure in the gas inlet passage increases. Then, gas is blown from the gas exhaust ports into the airbag and the airbag is inflated and deployed. At this moment, the gas exhaust ports open in the direction along the inner surface of the side portion the vehicle body, so that gas is blown from the gas exhaust ports in the same direction and the airbag is inflated and deployed downwardly like a curtain along the inner surface of the side portion of the vehicle body. In this inflation and deployment of the airbag, the airbag is inflated and deployed quickly, smoothly and reliably in a relatively narrow space between the inner surface of the side portion of the vehicle body and the passenger.

In the electrophotographic transfer paper, the temperature at which the viscosity of the thermoplastic foamed resin layer becomes 1×100 Pa•s ranges from 60° C. to 100° C. and a gradient R of a viscosity-temperature curve of the thermoplastic foamed resin layer defined by the following Equation (1) ranges from 0.02 to 0.10: R={Log(ηt)−Log(ηt+20)}/20  (1) where ηt indicates 1×104 Pa•s and ηt+20 indicates the viscosity (Pa•s) of the thermoplastic foamed resin layer at the temperature higher by 20° C. than the temperature showing the viscosity ηt.

    摘要: A curtain airbag device is provided that allows for smooth downward deployment of a curtain airbag. In one form, a C-pillar has a guide rod attached thereto for guiding a rear portion of a curtain airbag when the curtain airbag is being inflated downward. The rear portion of the curtain airbag has a link strap attached thereto. A front end of the link strap is provided with a loop which is loosely wound around the guide rod. For guiding downward movement of the link strap, a linear member extends between a lower portion of the curtain airbag and the link strap. The linear member extends through guide components. During a downward deployment process of the curtain airbag, the linear member pulls the loop of the link strap downward. Thus, the link strap moves downward smoothly along the guide rod for smooth deployment of the curtain airbag.

    摘要: An airbag is provided which securely prevents gas leakage through seams between panels and has excellent productivity. The airbag 10 has panels 1, 2. Peripheral portions of the panels 1, 2 are bonded with silicone adhesive 5 and also sewn together by sewing yarns 6A, 6B. Seams of the sewing yarns 6A, 6B may be coated by silicone sealant. The sewing yarn 6A composing an inner seam is thinner than the sewing yarn 6B composing an outer seam so that the sewing yarn 6A is broken during the inflation of the airbag 10, thereby absorbing energy.

    摘要: An electrophotographic transfer sheet having a coating layer on at least one surface of a base material made of pulp fibers as a main body is provided. The elongation of the sheet in the cross direction when the humidity is changed from 25% RH to 90% RH at 20° C. is not higher than about 0.65% and the water content of the sheet at opening its package as measured according to JIS P8127 is approximately in the range from 3.5 to 6.5%. A method of forming a color image using color toners each containing a polyester binder resin having Mn in the range of from about 1,000 to 9,000 and using the above-described electrophotographic transfer sheet is also provided.
