摘要:
A medicament having a neovascularization promoting action, which comprises a retinoid antagonist such as 4-(5H-7,8,9,10-tetrahydro-5,7,7,10,10-pentamethylbenzo[e]naphtho[2,3-b][1,4]diazepin-13-yl)benzoic acid as an active ingredient and is useful for prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatment of ischemic diseases and wounds.

摘要:
A medicament for prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatment of a vascular disease such as vascular restenosis and/or reocclusion after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty using an intravascular stent, which comprises as an active ingredient a substance selected from the group consisting of retinoids and agents for controlling actions of retinoids such as 4-[5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-2-naphthalenyl)carbamoyl]benzoic acid or a salt thereof, or 4-[[[(3,5-bis-(trimethylsilyl)phenyl]carbonyl]amino]benzoic acid or a salt thereof, wherein said substance has substantially no antiproliferative action on vascular endothelial cells, but substantially has antiproliferative action on vascular smooth muscle cells.

A watch band with a buckle which does not slip off from a band body thereof even when it gets a great shock, for example from collision with an object due to dropping thereof, and a wristwatch with such band. The band body has a pair of spaced attaching parts provided at an end thereof. An engaging member has a connection part connected through a connection pipe to between these attaching parts. A buckle has a pair of arms which hold these attaching parts therebetween. A pair of screws have a thread portion screwed into a screw hole in the end portion of an associated arm of the buckle and a shank part inserted in a nearer end portion of the connection pipe to attach the buckle to the band body so as not to slip off from the connection pipe even when the buckle gets a great shock.
摘要:
A shock absorbing member for a wristwatch including a wristwatch case whose side portions are provided with a pair of bands and an operation member positioned avoiding the pair of bands, and back surface has a case back attached thereto. This shock absorbing member is made of a flexible resin, and includes a peripheral side portion that surrounds the wristwatch case and projects further outward than a top surface of the wristwatch case, and a bottom portion to which the case back is attached. In addition, the peripheral side portion is provided with band holes into which the pair of bands are inserted and an operation hole corresponding to the operation member. Accordingly, even when a strong shock of falling from a high place or the like is received, the shock is unfailingly absorbed.

The object is to provide: a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for metabolic syndrome, which has improved stability in a living body; and others. The therapeutic or prophylactic agent for metabolic syndrome comprises, as an active ingredient, DNA that encodes receptor activity-modifying protein (RAMP) 2 and is selected from the items (a) to (d) below or a polypeptide encoded by the DNA: (a) DNA which has the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1; (b) DNA which has a nucleotide sequence capable of hybridizing with the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1 under stringent conditions; (c) DNA which has a nucleotide sequence encoding an amino acid sequence having the substitution, deletion and/or addition of one or more amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:2; and (d) DNA which has a nucleotide sequence having a 90% or more homology with the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1.

Provided are a DNA fragment, a pharmaceutical composition, and the like, which can simplify the period of creating knockout animals. The DNA fragment includes: a detection sequence that codes for a detection marker other than drug resistance (preferably a visually-detectable marker); a resistance sequence that codes for a resistance marker for a drug that inhibits the proliferation of one or more species of at least prokaryotic organisms; a promoter sequence that is located upstream of the resistance sequence and functions in prokaryotic organisms; and a regulatory sequence that is located upstream of all of the above sequences and, only when inserted into a target region of the genome of at least one species of eukaryotic organism, induces the expression of a sequence located downstream. The detection sequence and the resistance sequence are arranged so as to be capable of action.
