Abstract: A host device is disclosed. The host device comprises: an input unit for receiving a control command for performing a preset event; a communication interface unit for communicating with an image forming device; and a control unit for transmitting, to the image forming device via the communication interface unit, a state change command for changing an operating state of the image forming device and performing the preset event corresponding to the received control command, if the received control command is a command related to controlling the image forming device.
