    Abstract: A cutting apparatus is disclosed to form a weakening line of a of an anti-tampering device of a cap made of plastics for closing a container, in which the cutting apparatus includes a feeding device for feeding the caps along a feeding path, a blade arranged in the feeding path to form the weakening line, at least one abutting wall on which the cap can roll, and a micrometric screw configured for adjusting the corresponding position of the blade with respect to the abutting wall, so that blade wear can be compensated by advancing the blade to the feeding path of the caps independently of the abutting wall.

    Abstract: A mold is provided for forming caps for closing containers by compression molding doses of plastic material, where a bottom wall of the cap, or at least one portion of the bottom wall is very thin. The mold includes two half-molds axially movable towards each other which assume an end closed position without a dose. A tubular element is slidable around the second half-mold and partially defines the cavity. The tubular element contacts an axial abutment of the first half-mold at one side and an axial end stop of the second half-mold at the other side to prevent hard contact between the half-molds.

    Abstract: A cutting apparatus is provided for cutting a cap as it travels along an advancement path in an advancement direction. The cutting apparatus includes a spindle movable along the advancement path and rotatable around an axis thereof. The spindle is shaped to interact with the cap and to rotate the cap around the axis. A support moves along the advancement path together with the spindle. The support is shaped to interact with the cap and to retain the cap against the spindle. A cutting device is arranged to form a cut in a side wall of the cap when the spindle reaches a cutting zone provided in the advancement path. The spindle includes a hollow housing shaped to house a cap protrusion to stop rotation of the cap in a preset position with respect to the spindle to orient the cap with respect to the cutting device.
