    Abstract: A method for selecting operational channels in a communication network including a plurality of gathering nodes connected together by cable links and wireless links. The method includes: for each branch, selecting and using at least one operational channel, and informing the other branches of the selection thereof, and determining whether there exists at least one selected operational channel in common between the branch and another; identifying at least one group of branches wherein each branch has at least one selected channel in common with another in the group and wherein each branch sees from a radio-propagation point of view at least one other branch in the set; for each group of branches identified, selecting at least one operational channel by realigning within the group the selections of at least one operational channel made by branch; for each group of branches, applying the channel selected by the group.

    Abstract: A method and device for pairing a terminal with an access point of a wireless communication network, the network including access points or executing access points, the executing access points coordinate in a centralised manner by an access point fulfilling the manager function, or managing access point. The method includes: —a message received from an executing access point including information that a terminal wishes to pair with the access point; —for each executing access point, information is obtained representing at least one time slot wherein the executing access point is authorised to establish a WPS pairing session with the new terminal, each time slot being separate from the other; —a message is sent to each executing access point including at least the information representing the at least one time slot wherein the executing access point is authorised to establish a WPS pairing session with the new terminal.

    Abstract: A method, for a distributed wireless communication network, for managing the connection of a client node to a first gathering node is provided. A quality indicator presenting a quality of the connection is determined. If the quality indicator indicates a poor quality, then: to each gathering node of the network, a command to collect quality data is sent, messages comprising the quality data are received, for each gathering node, a quality indicator is determined, and a second gathering node according to the quality indicators determined is selected. If the second gathering node is different from the first gathering node, then to each gathering node, except for the second gathering node, a command to refuse association with the client node is sent.
