Abstract: In a communication network, a client has a plurality of network interfaces connecting it to a server able to deliver data streams on multicast groups. The client obtains a first request for subscription to a multicast group allowing to obtain a data stream. The client replaces the first subscription request with a plurality of second requests for subscription to a plurality of multicast subgroups able to supply data sub-streams which, once combined, allow to reconstruct the data stream. Each second subscription request is transmitted over a network interface with which the request was associated, so as to favour use of each available network interface. The client receives, over each network interface, a data sub-stream corresponding to the second subscription request transmitted over said network interface and reconstructs the data stream from the data sub-streams.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of methods of communication between software modules and more particularly software buses. There is described a software bus which allows communication between software modules. This communication occurs within a machine and between machines and operates interchangeably for the software module whether one is dealing with a process, a thread or a simple task. The communication relies on mechanisms adapted to the multitask level at which the sender and receiver software modules operate. It is based on a hierarchical architecture, phases of discovery and of recording of the various software modules having to communicate via the bus.

Abstract: A method for connecting a node of a wireless-communication coverage-extension system is provided. The node determines whether it has been moved out of an initial local area network. In the case where the node has been moved, a local area network is established from the moved node by activating an address server functionality. The moved node is then connected to a point of access to the internet. A secure tunnel is next established between the moved node and a master node coordinating the initial local area network. The address server functionality is then deactivated and a client functionality of an address server of the initial local area network is activated.

Abstract: A wireless communication network that includes a backhaul network interconnecting node devices for extending a radio coverage of a wireless fronthaul network by using a plurality of access points of the wireless fronthaul network, the communication channel is used for interconnecting said node devices. A node device of the backhaul network makes an evaluation of the transmission conditions of its radio environment; calculates a score representing a quality of transmission via this communication channel; transmits to said master node device a message requesting change of communication channel of the backhaul network when at least one other communication channel has obtained a better score than the communication channel selected by the master node device. On reception of the message, master node device obtains scores for the other node devices, and decides to change, or not, communication channel used in the backhaul network according to the scores obtained.

Abstract: A method for switching off a communication network is provided. The communication network includes a plurality of access points coordinated by a master device, where each access point manages a wireless network known as a fronthaul network, and where a station is able to associate itself with a fronthaul network of the communication network. At least one item of information relating to each associated station is obtained from each access point, and, for each station, it is determined as to whether it is present or absent according to association information. A phase of switching off at least one fronthaul network is initiated when all the stations are determined as being absent from the communication network.

Abstract: A method for configuring a wireless communication coverage extension system is described. The latter comprises a backhaul subnetwork in tree form comprising a plurality of interconnected nodes. At least two nodes directly connected to an internet access gateway are identified among the nodes of the backhaul subnetwork. A single node is selected from the at least two identified nodes to be the node through which a configuration of the wireless communication coverage extension system is defined. The configuration of the wireless communication coverage extension system defined is then sent from the selected node to all the other nodes of the backhaul subnetwork.
