Abstract: A process includes the formation of a colored glass layer on a glass substrate by flame pyrolysis of a solution including at least one precursor of a cobalt, iron, manganese, chromium, silver, copper, gold or selenium oxide, alone or as a mixture of several of them. Moreover, a glass substrate is coated with a layer of colored glass obtained by such a process.

Abstract: A glass article includes at least one glass substrate on which a stack of layers is deposited. The stack includes at least one layer consisting of a layer of silicon nitride of formulation SiNx, in which x is less than 1.25. The physical thickness of the SiNx layer is between 5 and 50 nm. The light reflection of the glass article, measured on the side of the substrate on which the stack is deposited, is greater than 20%.

Abstract: A process for depositing a coating on a glass substrate includes co-sputtered simultaneously by a plasma, in one and the same chamber of the vacuum deposition device, a first constituent made of a material consisting of an oxide, a nitride or an oxynitride of a first element and a second constituent consisting of the metallic form of a second element. The process also includes introducing a hydride, a halide or an organic compound of a third element, different than the first element, into the plasma, to recover the substrate covered with the coating comprising the first, second and third elements at the outlet of the device. The coating consists of metal nanoparticles of the second element dispersed in an inorganic matrix of the first and third elements. The coating displays a plasmon absorption peak in the visible region.

Abstract: A solar protection and/or thermal insulation glazing including a substrate, in particular a glass substrate, provided with a stack of thin layers which act on solar radiation, the stack having the succession of the following layers, starting from the surface of the glass: an underlayer or a set of underlayers, the underlayer(s) having dielectric materials, a layer based on titanium oxide also having silicon, the overall Si/Ti atomic ratio in said layer being between 0.01 and 0.25, and in which Si and Ti represent at least 90% of the atoms other than oxygen, the thickness of the layer being between 20 and 70 nm, an overlayer or a set of overlayers, said overlayer(s) having dielectric materials.
