An apparatus includes: a display unit; a communication unit configured to communicate with a plurality of devices external to the apparatus; and a processor configured to control the display unit to display a first user interface (UI) image including a list of content files stored in a first device of the plurality of devices and a second UI image including a list of applications stored in a second device of the plurality of devices, and, in response to receiving a first user input selecting a content file from the list of content files in the first UI image and a second user input selecting an application from the list of applications in the second UI image, to control the selected content file to be processed by the selected application in the second device.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus and a controlling methods thereof are disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes a voice input unit configured to receive a user voice, a storage unit configured to store a plurality of voice print feature models representing a plurality of user voices and a plurality of utterance environment models representing a plurality of environmental disturbances, a controller, in response to a user voice being input through the voice input unit, configured to extract utterance environment information of an utterance environment model among the plurality of utterance environment models corresponding to a location where the user voice is input, compare a voice print feature of the input user voice with the plurality of voice print feature models, revise a result of the comparison based on the extracted utterance environment information, and recognize a user corresponding to the input user voice based on the revised result.
Abstract:
A method of controlling an interpretation apparatus is provided. The control method includes collecting a voice of a speaker in a first language in order to generate voice data, extracting voice attribution information of the speaker from the generated voice data, and transmitting to an external apparatus text data in which the voice of the speaker included in the generated voice data is translated in a second language, together with the extracted voice attribute information. The text data translated in the second language is generated by recognizing the voice of the speaker included in the generated voice data, converting the recognized voice of the speaker into the text data, and translating the converted text data in the second language.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus and a method of speech recognition thereof are disclosed. According to the method of speech recognition of the electronic apparatus, the method includes receiving a speech of a speaker, extracting phonemic characteristics for recognizing a speech and voice print characteristics for registering the speaker by analyzing the received speech of the speaker, and in response to the speech of the speaker corresponding a registered trigger word or phrase, based on the extracted phonemic characteristics, changing an execution mode to a speech recognition mode of the electronic apparatus and registering the extracted voice print characteristics as voice print characteristics of the speaker who spoke the speech.

A display apparatus including: a communication unit which communicates with a peripheral device; an image processing unit which processes an image signal received from the peripheral device; a touch panel display unit which displays an image based on the image signal and comprises a touch sensing unit which detects touch input of a user; and a controller which controls a first mode and a second mode to operate according to a setting of the user, the first mode controlling the image processing unit so that the image based on the image signal received from the peripheral device is displayed on the touch panel display unit and the second mode controlling the image processing unit and the touch panel display unit so that a graphic user interface (GUI) is displayed on the touch panel display unit and the touch input for controlling the peripheral device is received using the GUI.

The display apparatus includes: a display device; an image processor which processes an image to display the image on the display device; a communication unit which communicates with at least one first external device in which content data are stored and at least one second external device in which an application is installed to process the content data; and a controller which controls the image processor to communicate with the first and second external devices and display a user interface (UI) image corresponding to the content data and the application on the display device, and controls the processing operation of the application with respect to the content data through the UI image.
