Provided is a backlight device in which each of a plurality of patterns separated at a uniform interval is intermittently formed and a 3D display apparatus having the same. The backlight device includes light sources configured to generate light and a light guide plate configured to change a path of the light and configured to emit the light, wherein the light guide plate includes an incident surface upon which the light is incident, an exit surface configured to emit the incident light, a reflective surface provided opposite to the exit surface, and a plurality of main patterns separated at a uniform interval, the plurality of main patterns provided intermittently on the reflective surface and configured to scatter the incident light.

A three-dimensional display apparatus is provided having a light guide module which guides to a display panel from a backlight. The three-dimensional display apparatus includes a first light guide, a second light guide, and an emission pattern which emits light toward the display panel. Viewing distances between a viewer's eyes and the display panel are determined by a thickness of the second light guide regardless of a thickness of the first light guide.

A display apparatus including a display panel and a backlight to supply light to the display panel is provided. The backlight includes a light guide plate to guide light to the display panel, at least one three dimensional light source disposed to face a side end of the light guide plate, a two dimensional light source disposed at a rear of the light guide plate, and at least one diffusion member disposed between the at least one three dimensional light source and the side end of the light guide plate.
