    Abstract: A process for increasing the resistance to wear of the surface of hard metal parts subject to wear, such as the cutting blade of cutting tools, by coating the surface of the hard cemented carbide articles with a layer of refractory oxide such as aluminium oxide, ziroconium oxide or stabilized zirconium oxide in a thickness of up to 20 microns.
