摘要: Modified crystalline zeolite materials have a zeolite framework with both tetra-coordinate Lewis aluminum single sites and Brønsted aluminum sites. The tetra-coordinate Lewis aluminum single sites include aluminum atoms covalently bonded to a variable group and to two oxygen atoms and further coordinated to a third oxygen atom. The variable group may be alkyl, hydride, or hydroxyl. Methods for incorporating tetra-coordinate Lewis aluminum single sites into a crystalline zeolite material include contacting the crystalline zeolite material with a dialkylaluminum hydride R2AlH, where each R is alkyl, to react the dialkylaluminum hydride with the zeolite framework and form tetra-coordinate alkyl aluminum single sites. Heating the alkyl-aluminum zeolite induces β-hydride elimination of the alkyl groups, whereby tetra-coordinate aluminum hydride single sites are formed. By oxidizing the hydride-aluminum zeolite, at least a portion of the tetra-coordinate aluminum hydride single sites are converted to tetra-coordinate aluminum hydroxide single sites.

In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, an amine functionalized zeolite may include a microporous framework including a plurality of micropores having diameters of less than or equal to 2 nm. The microporous framework may include at least silicon atoms and oxygen atoms. The amine functionalized zeolite may further include a plurality of mesopores having diameters of greater than 2 nm and less than or equal to 50 nm and one or more of isolated terminal primary amine functionalities bonded to silicon atoms of the microporous framework or silazane functionalities, where the nitrogen atom of the silazane bridges two silicon atoms of the microporous framework.

摘要: Heavy hydrocarbon feedstocks including crude oil are upgraded under relatively low pressure conditions in an ebullated-bed hydroprocessing zone to remove the heteroatom containing hydrocarbons. Catalyst particles are regenerated/rejuvenated and recycled back to the ebullated-bed hydroprocessing reaction zone. The regeneration/rejuvenation is effective to restore catalytic activity while minimizing leaching of the active components(s).

摘要: A process for upgrading a naphtha feed includes separating the naphtha feed into at least a light naphtha fraction, contacting the light naphtha fraction with hydrogen in the presence of at least one cyclization catalyst, and contacting the cyclization effluent with at least one cracking catalyst. Contacting the light naphtha fraction with hydrogen in the presence of at least one cyclization catalyst may produce a cyclization effluent comprising a greater concentration of naphthenes compared to the light naphtha fraction. Contacting the cyclization effluent with at least one cracking catalyst under conditions sufficient to crack at least a portion of the cyclization effluent may produce a fluid catalytic cracking effluent comprising light olefins, gasoline blending components, or both. A system for upgrading a naphtha feed includes a naphtha separation unit, a cyclization unit disposed downstream of the naphtha separation unit, and a fluid catalytic cracking unit disposed downstream of the cyclization unit.

摘要: Separation of asphaltenes from residual oil is carried out with naphtha as solvent. In particular, straight run naphtha obtained from the same crude oil source as the residual oil feed is used as the solvent. The mixture of deasphalted oil and solvent is passed to a hydroprocessing zone, without typical separation and recycle of the solvent back to the solvent deasphalting unit. Asphalt is separated from the residual oil (residue from atmospheric or vacuum distillation); the mixture of deasphalted oil and naphtha solvent is passed to the hydroprocessing unit.
