摘要： Labyrinth seals for rod-end swivel bearings having outer annular lips of a yieldable elastomer and inner annular lips of lesser height. The seals are mounted on metal plates which have parallel planar surfaces perpendicular to a central bore which accommodates standard rod-end attachment bolts, the planar surfaces react the tensile pre-load in the bolt and also pre-load and deflect the yieldable lips of the seals against the rod-end bearing housing to seal the swivel action against external contamination, and to retain grease or other lubricant in the swivel bearing area.

摘要： A combined muffler and exhaust gas purifier for internal combustion engines, in particular those for automotive vehicles. The exhaust gas is piped into the muffler casing which is filled with a porous or fibrous material, and repeatedly passed through such material to extract dust and other contaminants. The filtering material is continuously impregnated with an oxidizing and de-odorizing fluid which simultaneously with filtering, oxidizes or otherwise chemically treats dangerous ingredients of the exhaust gas and de-odorizes them. Automatically operated valve means controls the feeding of the fluid.

摘要： An automatic operator recall accessory adaptable for attaching to the trunk circuitry of private branch telephone exchange switchboards. The accessory comprises a time-delay switching circuit on a printed circuit board adaptable to be interposed between the operator''s console light and buzzer and the standard PBX switchboard circuit which normally selects and transmits signals to the light and buzzer. When the operator extends a trunk call by connecting it to an idle extension, placing the call on hold, or ''''camping on'''' the call to a busy extension, the recall circuit begins a time delay period during which the operator''s light and buzzer are permitted to receive signals from the standard switching signal transmission circuit. If, however, after a predetermined period of time dependent upon the adjustment of the accessory''s time delay circuit the caller has been unable to complete his call, the recall circuit automatically disconnects the operator''s light and buzzer from the standard signal transmission circuit and simultaneously connects the light and buzzer to the switchboard''s ''''unanswered call'''' signal generator, thereby alerting the operator to switch onto the trunk line and attend to the caller. One such recall accessory is required for each separate trunk line of the switchboard unit.
