摘要： A system for presenting an electronic programming guide in a satellite communication system is disclosed. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a satellite media receiver having a controller element to transmit to a portal information associated with an Electronic Programming Guide (EPG). The portal can process the information to present a Graphical User Interface (GUI) window corresponding to a slideable canvas of the EPG in an Internet browser of a communication device requesting the EPG. 摘要： A system for configuring satellite communication services is disclosed. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a portal having a controller element to detect an installation of a satellite media receiver operating in a satellite communication system. The installation of the satellite media receiver can be detected by way of a broadband port of said satellite media receiver when coupled to a local area network accessible by the portal. The controller element can also adapt at least a portion of said portal according to said installation. Other embodiments are disclosed.
