Abstract: Provided is a device for continuously manufacturing an organic substance with high productivity, in which a means is installed whereby a synthesis gas having a specific nutrient source concentration for microbes in a continuous fermenter is stored with good efficiency and the gas composition thereof is made uniform in a stage prior to supplying the synthesis gas to the fermenter including microbes, so that uniformity of the synthesis gas composition is ensured. A device for manufacturing an organic substance, provided with a gas generating unit for gasifying a carbon source and generating a starting material gas, a gas supply unit for supplying a synthesis gas including the starting material gas to a fermenter, and a fermenter for microbial fermentation of the synthesis gas in the fermenter, a gas circulation unit for making the gas composition uniform being further provided between the gas generating unit and the gas supply unit or to the gas supply unit.

Abstract: Provided is a method for producing an organic substance, in which an organic material (metabolite) derived from a microorganism is reduced while retaining a nutritive substance in an organic substance-containing solution discharged from a fermentation tank containing the microorganism, whereby various nutritional elements contained in the organic substance-containing solution can be reused with high efficiency. A method for producing an organic substance by the microbial fermentation of a synthetic gas containing at least carbon monoxide, the method comprising a synthetic gas supply step of supplying the synthetic gas into a fermentation tank containing a microorganism, a fermentation step of subjecting the synthetic gas to microbial fermentation in the fermentation tank, an aerobic fermentation treatment step of subjecting at least a portion of a liquid produced in the fermentation step to an aerobic fermentation treatment in a liquid waste treatment unit, and a recycling step of supplying a liquid produced in the aerobic fermentation treatment step to the fermentation tank, wherein the aerobic fermentation treatment step is carried out in the presence of a nitrifying bacterium inhibitor.

Abstract: Provided is a method for determining origin of carbon source of chemical substance, which makes it possible to determine whether resource-recycled carbon is used as a carbon raw material from a chemical substance in various goods. The method for determining origin of carbon source of chemical substance includes: a step S1 of acquiring a carbon-14 content rate R1 of a standard chemical substance having carbon element in which carbon has been recycled as a resource; a step S2 of acquiring a carbon-14 content rate R2 of a chemical substance to be identified; a step S3 of calculating a ratio (R2/R1) of the content rate R2 to the content rate R1; and a step S4 of determining that a carbon raw material in the chemical substance to be identified contains resource-recycled carbon based on the ratio (R2/R1).

Abstract: Provided is a method for producing an organic substance from a syngas by microbial fermentation, wherein only the solid component can be efficiently separated from an organic substance-containing liquid obtained by microbial fermentation to reduce the content of microorganisms, etc. Disclosed is a method for producing an organic substance from a syngas containing carbon monoxide by microbial fermentation, which comprises a microbial fermentation step wherein the syngas is fed to a microbial fermenting vessel and a liquid containing an organic substance is obtained by microbial fermentation, a solid-liquid separation step wherein the organic substance-containing liquid is separated into a solid component containing microorganisms and a liquid component containing an organic substance, and an extraction step wherein the organic substance-containing liquid is extracted from the liquid component, wherein the organic substance-containing liquid is heated to 40° C. or higher and then subjected to a centrifugal separation operation.
