Abstract: A preparative liquid chromatograph for separating and extracting components in a sample, the preparative liquid chromatograph including a separation channel (2) through which a mobile phase flows, an injector (6) that injects the sample into the mobile phase, a separation column (8) for separating components in the sample injected into the mobile phase, the separation column (8) being provided downstream of the injector (6) on the separation channel (2), a detector (10) for detecting peaks of the components separated by the separation column (8), a fraction collector (12) configured to collect an eluate from the separation column (8) into a plurality of collection containers (20:22) at a downstream of the detector (10) while fractionating the eluate, and a controller (14) for controlling operation of the fraction collector (12), wherein the fraction collector (12) is provided with peak collection containers (20) and waste liquid collection containers (22), each peak collection container (20) is used for collecting a peak portion including a collection target peak detected by the detector (10) in the eluate, and each waste liquid collection container (22) is used for collecting a waste liquid portion not including the collection target peak in the eluate, and the controller (14) is configured to collect the peak portion including the collection target peak detected by the detector (10) in the eluate in the peak collection container (20), and to collect at least a part of the waste liquid portion in the waste liquid collection container (22).

Abstract: A separation column (6), an injector (4) that injects a sample into a mobile phase flowing through a flow path (16) leading to the separation column (6), at least one detector (8;10) that is fluidly connected downstream of the separation column (6), and generates a plurality of detector signals different from each other derived from a component in a sample separated by the separation column (6), a fraction collector (12) for fractionating and collecting a portion containing a component separated by the separation column (6) in an eluate from the separation column (6) into an individual collection container, and a controller (14) that detects a component peak in a plurality of chromatograms based on each of a plurality of the detector signals and controls operation of the fraction collector (12) based on a result of the detection are included. The controller (14) includes a fractionating collection part (26) configured to execute fractionating collection in which a portion detected as a component peak only in one chromatogram of a plurality of the chromatograms and a portion detected as a component peak in all of a plurality of the chromatograms are collected separately in collection containers different from each other.

Abstract: A fraction collector controller includes a threshold storing part, a peak detecting part, a number-of-points-of-data setting part, and a control part. The peak detecting part retrieves, at regular intervals, signals that are from a detector of a liquid chromatograph and are used as points of data, and detects a start point and an end point of a peak by comparing a signal strength and/or an inclination of each of the points of data with the threshold(s). The number-of-points-of-data setting part is configured to set a number of the points of data with which the peak detecting part compares the threshold(s) to detect a start point and an end point of a peak.

Abstract: In a preparative liquid chromatograph, a control device for controlling at least operation of a sample injection part includes a holding part for holding a chromatogram-for-setting created in advance for a sample to be analyzed, and an injection program creating part configured to create an injection program that defines timings at which injection operations are executed based on the chromatogram-for-setting, so that, in the case where the number of injections in a multiple injection mode is set, a peak of a chromatogram of the sample to be analyzed injected in each injection operation does not overlap a peak of a chromatogram of the sample to be analyzed injected in another injection operation.
