A skin dullness evaluation apparatus includes a frequency analyzing unit that decomposes a skin image into color heterogeneity of a predetermined size; a color heterogeneity index obtaining unit that obtains color data of skin from each of the color heterogeneity decomposed by the frequency analyzing unit, and obtains a color heterogeneity index of the color heterogeneity from the obtained color data of skin; and a dullness evaluation unit that evaluates skin dullness corresponding to the skin image based on the color heterogeneity index obtained by the color heterogeneity index obtaining unit.

An evaluation method of evaluating a color irregularity site (a blemish) includes a color irregularity site detection step (step S102) of detecting a plurality of color irregularity sites respectively from a first skin image and a second skin image different from the first skin image, a gravity center position calculation step (step S108) of calculating gravity center positional coordinates of the color irregularity sites respectively for the first skin image and the second skin image, and a matching process step (step S110) of matching the plurality of color irregularity sites included in the first skin image with the plurality of color irregularity sites included in the second skin image based on the calculated gravity center positional coordinates of the color irregularity sites.
Abstract:
To appropriately evaluate skin spots by grasping a quality (characteristic) of the skin spots. A skin spot evaluation apparatus includes an area extracting unit that extracts skin spot areas corresponding to skin spots from a skin image obtained by photographing a skin of a subject; and an evaluation unit that analyzes, based on the skin spot areas extracted by the area extracting unit, at least one of the number of the skin spots, dimension of each of the skin spots and density of each of the skin spots, and generates data obtained by quantifying characteristic of the skin spots of the skin image using the analyzed result.
