Abstract: A fluorine gas production device includes an electrolytic cell, a partition wall extending downward in the vertical direction from the ceiling surface inside the electrolytic cell to partition the electrolytic cell into an anode chamber and a cathode chamber, an anode, and a cathode. The lower end of the partition wall is immersed in the electrolytic solution and a length in the vertical direction of a portion immersed in the electrolytic solution of the partition wall is from 10% to 30% of the distance from the bottom surface inside the electrolytic cell to the liquid level of the electrolytic solution. The cathode is completely immersed in the electrolytic solution and the upper end of the cathode is arranged at a lower position in the vertical direction relative to the lower end of the partition wall. The anode is partially exposed from the liquid level of the electrolytic solution.

Abstract: Provided is a method for producing a fluorine-containing organic compound. The method can immediately detect the occurrence of a side reaction in direct fluorination reaction using fluorine gas and can give a highly pure fluorine-containing organic compound at a high yield. A raw material liquid (1) containing a raw material organic compound having a hydrogen atom and two or more carbon atoms is reacted with fluorine gas in a reaction container (11) to replace the hydrogen atom of the raw material organic compound with a fluorine atom to give a fluorine-containing organic compound. In the reaction, tetrafluoromethane contained in a gas phase (2) in the reaction container (11) is continuously measured, and the amount of the fluorine gas supplied to the reaction container (11) is controlled depending on the measured value of the tetrafluoromethane.

Abstract: There is provided a method of producing 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorobutane capable of stably and economically producing 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorobutane. A reactant solution (1) containing 3,4-dichloro-1-butene is charged in a reaction vessel (11) having an inner surface, to be brought into contact with the reactant solution (1), made of a metal and a chlorine gas is introduced into the reactant solution (1) to perform a reaction between 3,4-dichloro-1-butene and the chlorine gas to produce 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorobutane. The reaction is performed while carrying out an operation of taking out at least a portion of the reactant solution (1) from the reaction vessel (11), filtering the reactant solution (1) thus taken out to remove a solid matter, and returning the filtered reactant solution (1) into the reaction vessel (11).
