    Abstract: A dispensing cylinder capable of performing a dispensing treatment for both minute and large amounts of liquid includes: a cylinder having a cavity; a nozzle provided at one end of the cylinder, having a through hole in fluid communication with the cavity and extending in an axial direction of the cavity, and a plunger slidable in the cavity in the axial direction. The cavity has a large diameter region having a large inner peripheral surface and a small diameter region having a second inner peripheral surface. The plunger has a thick shaft portion slidable in the large diameter region and a thin shaft portion protruding from a distal end of the thick shaft portion in the axial direction and slidable in the small diameter region.

    Abstract: Provided is a powder collector or the like, which is capable of efficiently performing the work of collecting each powder of a different kind and the like while easily preventing a foreign matter such as another kind of powder from being mixed. The powder collector includes: a connecting part (12) having an air passage (11) that is to be removably connected to a pipe (35) for air intake and air supply; a collecting part (14) having an air passage (13) in which powder is collected to be kept through use of a suction force caused by air intake from the pipe (35) reaching the air passage (13) of the collecting part (14) through the air passage (11) of the connecting part (12) and from which the collected powder is discharged through use of a discharge force caused by air supply from the pipe (35); a first filter part (15), which is arranged at a midway position of the air passage (13) of the collecting part (14) and is configured to block passage of the powder to be collected; a relaying part (17) having an air passage (16) connecting the air passage (11) of the connecting part (12) and the collecting part (14) to each other; and a second filter part (18), which is arranged at a midway position of the air passage (16) of the relaying part (17) or in an end portion of the relaying part (17) on the connecting part (12) side, and is configured to block passage of the powder having passed through the first filter part (15).

    Abstract: A synthesis device comprises a plurality of pipes, a feeding unit, a reaction vessel, and a measurement mechanism. The pipes extend from a plurality of storage containers, respectively, in which a plurality of types of solutions are stored. The feeding unit is configured to feed the solutions in the storage containers through the pipes. The solutions selectively fed from the storage containers are put in the reaction vessel to generate a synthesized product by chemical synthesis. The measuring mechanism is provided between the storage containers and the reaction vessel in a middle of an overall flow path including the pipes, the measuring mechanism being configured to measure the solutions fed to the reaction vessel.

    Abstract: Problem: To supply a device and a method for accurately discharging a fixed amount of a liquid, the liquid containing solid particles, in a state that the solid particles are dispersed in the liquid material. Solution: A discharge device for a liquid material containing solid particles includes a first reservoir, a first air pressure supply pipe, a metering portion having a metering hole, a plunger moving back and forth in the metering hole, a nozzle, a switching valve having a first position and a second position, a plunger driver, and a switching valve driver. The discharge device further includes a second reservoir, a second air pressure supply pipe, a branch portion provided in an upper portion of the metering hole and having a branch flow path, and an opening/closing mechanism that establishes or cuts off communication between the second reservoir and the metering hole. In the discharge device, the liquid material inside the first reservoir can be transferred to the second reservoir, and the liquid material inside the second reservoir can be transferred to the first reservoir. A discharge method is carried out using the discharge device.

    Abstract: A system and method combine a first reactant with a second reactant to create a reaction product. A first pump is in fluid communication with a reaction vessel and a source of the first reactant. A second pump is in fluid communication with the reaction vessel and a source of the second reactant. A gas sparger is located in the reaction vessel, and the gas sparger is in fluid communication with a gas source for providing gas to the reaction vessel. A controller is configured to execute a program stored in the controller to: (i) receive a sensor signal based on a force exerted by the reaction vessel in a direction toward the sensor, and (ii) operate the first pump and the second pump to deliver to the reaction vessel the first reactant and the second reactant thereby causing a reaction that creates the reaction product.
