    Abstract: An electrical device can include a sensor module that measures at least one parameter, where the at least one parameter is associated with determining the presence of a living being in a volume of space. The electrical device can also include a controller coupled to the sensor module, where the controller receives a measurement of the at least one parameter to determine whether the living being is in the volume of space. The electrical device can further include at least one ultraviolet (UV) light source coupled to the controller, which operates the at least one UV light source to emit UV light when the living being is not in the volume of space, and where the controller prevents the at least one UV light source from emitting the UV light when the living being is in the volume of space.

    Abstract: A lighting device includes a first string of light emitting diodes (LEDs) configured to emit a warm white light having a warm Correlated Color Temperature (CCT). The lighting device further includes a second string of LEDs configured to emit a cool white light having a cool CCT. The lighting device also includes green light LEDs that emit a green light. A flux of the green light is controlled based on a flux of the cool white light or a flux of the warm white light. The flux of the warm white light and the flux of the cool white light change proportionally with respect to each other.

    Abstract: A lighting device, comprises a light source configured to provide a low Cyanosis Observation Index (COI) white light having a total flux, the light source comprising a first group of LEDs configured to provide a wide blue light, a second group of LEDs configured to provide a wide green light, and a third group of LEDs configured to provide a wide red light, wherein the low COI white light is a combination of at least the wide blue light, the wide green light, and the wide red light, wherein a current provided to the light source is distributed among the first group of LEDs, the second group of LEDs, and the third group of LEDs such that the wide blue light contributes 7 percent to 9 percent of the total flux, the wide green light contributes 62 percent to 76 percent of the total flux, and the wide red light contributes 20 percent to 26 percent of the total flux, and wherein a COI of the low COI white light is less than 1.

    Abstract: A surge monitoring circuit for detecting transient spikes in an input voltage includes a voltage divider circuit that generates a divider output voltage from the input voltage, a reference voltage generator circuit that generates reference voltages, and a comparator circuit that generates comparator signals by comparing the divider output voltage to the reference voltages. The surge monitoring circuit further includes a processor configured to predict, at least based on the comparator signals, an expected failure of a surge suppressor circuit that suppresses the transient spikes, where the comparator signals indicate detections of divider output transient spikes in the divider output voltage. The divider output transient spikes correspond to transient spikes in the input voltage, where the divider output transient spikes have a higher voltage than the one or more reference voltages.
