    Abstract: Provided is an automatic polishing system that is capable of adjusting a degree of polishing in accordance with a condition of a surface of a body of a mobile object. The automatic polishing system includes: a multi-articulated robot; a polishing machine including a spindle that spins around an axis and a polishing tool that is fixed at an end of the spindle; a sensor which is provided between the multi-articulated robot and the polishing machine and which detects normal reaction (z-axis component Fz) that acts from a polish target surface to the polishing machine and moment (z-axis component Mz) that acts around the axis of the spindle; and a control unit which controls the multi-articulated robot based on the normal reaction (z-axis component Fz) and the moment (z-axis component Mz).

    Abstract: The present invention reduces the possibility that a connector for charging cannot be appropriately inserted into a power feeding port of an electric automobile.
    The information processing device identifies a position of a power feeding port provided in an electric automobile and controls an arm portion, on the basis of a result of identification, so as to move a connector to a position facing the power feeding port. The information processing device controls the arm portion so as to insert the connector into the power feeding port. At this time, the information processing device controls the arm portion, on the basis of a value detected by a force sensor, so that a force along a direction other than an insertion direction in which the connector is inserted and/or a torque have/has a magnitude not greater than a threshold.

    Abstract: A force sensor includes a force receiver which receives a force or a moment that acts on a detection target part, and a strain element which is provided to a sensor base and which serves as an elastic support that supports the force receiver. The force sensor includes two systems of detecting sections which each independently detect strain of four beam parts of the strain element, two systems of computing circuits which each independently compute, on the basis of a detection result that has been outputted from a corresponding one of the two systems of detecting sections, the force or the moment that acts on the detection target part, and two systems of output sections which each independently output, as an electrical signal, a computation result that has been outputted from a corresponding one of the two systems of computing circuits.

    Abstract: [Problem] To provide a main mold and core setting device and a main mold and core setting method which enable core setting work, hitherto implemented by a core setting operator using subtle hand sensation, to be completely reproduced by automation.
    [Solution] The present invention is provided with: a core grasping and moving means for grasping and moving a core; a core movement amount detection means for detecting a movement amount of the core grasping and moving means; a grasped core position and posture detection means for detecting a position, orientation, and inclination of the core grasped by the core grasping and moving means; a main mold position and posture detection means for detecting a position, orientation, and inclination of a main mold; a sensor for detecting a physical quantity applied to the core; and a control means for constantly calculating relationships between relative positions, orientations, and inclinations of the main mold and the core, and from these relationships and the physical quantity applied to the core detected by the sensor, controlling the core grasping and moving means so that the core is caused to set with the main mold.
