Abstract: A kneaded sand property adjusting system including: a kneading device; a kneaded sand storage hopper that stores kneaded sand; a molding device that molds the sand conveyed from the sand storage hopper; a control device that controls water injection until a property of the sand meets a kneaded sand target property; and kneaded sand amount measuring instruments that measure the amount of sand stored in storage hopper, wherein the control device stores the batch number of each kneaded batch and the kneaded sand property measured at the time of kneading, calculates the batch number of the kneaded batch that corresponds to the molding sand being loaded into the molding device by the kneaded sand amount measuring instruments, associates the property of the molding sand with the property stored on by the batch number that was calculated, and corrects the target property on the basis of the values of the properties.

Abstract: A foundry sand reserving method includes reserving, acquiring, setting, and controlling. The reserving includes reserving foundry sand capable of being supplied to a foundry sand related device in at least one reserving unit. The acquiring includes acquiring a reserve amount of the foundry sand in at least one reserving unit, a charge amount of the foundry sand to the reserving unit, and a supply amount of the foundry sand to a foundry sand related device. The setting includes setting a threshold for the reserve amount based on a predetermined aging time of the foundry sand and the charge amount and the supply amount acquired in the acquisition step. The controlling includes controlling at least one selected from the group consisting of the charge amount and the supply amount based on the reserve amount acquired in the acquiring step and the threshold set in the setting step.

Abstract: A method for managing a casting process based on measured properties of molding sand is provided so that casting defects or energy used can be reduced by changing the molding conditions for the mold to be produced or changing the steps after molding. The method for managing a casting process based on the properties of the molding sand comprises a step (1) of measuring the properties of the molding sand just before the molding sand is supplied to a molding machine (40) and a step (2) of determining if the measured properties of the molding sand comply with predetermined properties, wherein, if by the step of determining it is found that the measured properties do not comply with the predetermined properties, a mold is molded to have less strength than that of a mold that is molded by using molding sand whose properties do comply with the predetermined properties.
