Abstract: An ITE hearing aid having a shell worn at least partially in a user's ear canal, a faceplate closing the shell at a side oriented towards the exterior of the user's ear, and at least one microphone housed in the shell and acoustically connected to ambience via a sound port formed in the faceplate. The faceplate has a cover element covering a cavity of the sound port in a direction normal to a main plane of the faceplate and a lateral sound opening in a wall extending normal to the main plane. The cover element is elevated above a surface region surrounding the cover element, with the sound port wall extending between the cover element and this surface region. The shell is designed, with regard to shape and size, in a manner that the hearing aid is manually removable from the ear canal without the need to use a tool.

Abstract: A hearing device including a shell to be worn at least in part in the ear canal and having an outer opening; a faceplate covering the outer opening of the shell and facing outwardly of the ear canal when the hearing device is worn in the ear canal; a transceiver configured to operate in an operating frequency range which is located within 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz; and a dipole antenna. The dipole antenna is integrated within the faceplate or at an outer surface of the faceplate in a manner so as to follow the contour of the outer surface of the faceplate to maximize radiation gain of the dipole antenna.

Abstract: Provided is a method of mounting at least one hearing device component (14) inside a hearing device shell (12). Said method comprises the steps of threading a fixture means (16) through a hole (18) formed in the wall of the hearing device shell (12) and attaching the hearing device component (14) to the end of the portion of the fixture means (16) protruding into the inside of the hearing device shell (12). The method further comprises manipulating the portion of the fixture means (16) protruding to the outside of the hearing device shell (12) such to position the hearing device component (14) in a predetermined position, and fixing the positioned hearing device component (14) to the inner wall of the hearing device shell (12).

Abstract: A hearing device to be worn in or at the ear of a user. The hearing device includes a housing for accommodating an electronic component, wherein the housing includes an electromagnetic wave shielding material and is formed with an indentation. The indentation provides a space at the outer side of the housing, allowing an antenna to be inserted into the indentation. The proposed hearing device achieves improved shielding of the antenna against electromagnetic waves radiated from at least one of the electronic components.
