摘要: A hearing instrument includes a housing wearable in an ear of a user and having a concha portion, a thin canal portion protruding from the concha portion, a receiver and a mechanically rigidly connected electronics unit including a battery, a signal processor and two microphones. The electronics unit is accommodated in the concha portion such that, in the intended wearing position of the hearing instrument, an upper side of the electronics unit faces away from the head of the user and a lower side of the electronics unit faces the head of the user. Each microphone is disposed on the upper side of the electronics unit, centered relative to a horizontal plane aligned approximately parallel to the transverse plane of the head of the user in the wearing position and intersects the concha portion of the housing centrally. A binaural hearing system is also provided.

The respective configurations of the hearing device and the hearing device charger may be such that when the hearing device is in a charging position on the hearing device charger, the receiver core and the transmitter core together provides a closed loop path for magnetic flux.

摘要: A hearing protection system includes an earplug and an electronic hearing device inserted into a cavity in the earplug. The electronic hearing device includes electronics that incorporate digital signal processing to provide sound amplification and fast compression programming to shut off sound amplification to protect the user when a loud noise is detected. The housing of the electronic hearing device has a sound aperture for emitting the sound from a speaker assembly. The sound aperture is aligned with an opening of a sound tube in the earplug so that sound generated by the speaker assembly can propagate through the sound tube to the user's ear canal. The electronic hearing device may include a short-range communication interface for receiving a short-range communication signal that carries information. The system may include a noise dosimeter that generates noise exposure measurement data related to a dose of noise exposure over a period of time.

摘要: A hearing device includes an enclosure comprising a shell and a faceplate and is configured for at least partial insertion within an ear of a user. An antenna structure of the hearing device is oriented such that a direction of an electric field (E-field) of a propagating electromagnetic signal generated by the antenna structure is directed non-tangentially with respect to the user at the location of the user's ear. The antenna structure includes an antenna disposed in or on the faceplate and a ground plane at least partially supported by the faceplate. A battery and electronic circuitry are disposed within the shell. The electronic circuitry is powered by the battery and is electrically coupled to send and/or receive signals via the antenna structure.
