Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an imaging apparatus and an information processing system capable of decreasing the amount of data of a video or the like transmitted through a network and suppressing power consumption of the imaging apparatus. An imaging apparatus which is a first aspect of the present disclosure includes: an image sensor that includes an imaging surface in which many pixels are arranged vertically and horizontally; a pixel control unit that controls the image sensor, selects a pixel corresponding to a sampling function among pixels configuring a block by applying the sampling function for each block acquired by partitioning the imaging surface of the image sensor into a plurality of blocks, and outputs a sampling signal based on a pixel value of the selected pixel; and a reduced image generating unit that generates a reduced image on the basis of the sampling signal for each block output from the image sensor.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an X-ray detection device and a detection method, which can improve a sampling rate and spatial resolution without increasing an exposure dose to a subject. The X-ray detection device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: a scintillator adapted to generate scintillation light in response to incident X-rays; a detection unit including a plurality of pixels each generating a pixel signal in response to the scintillation light incident thereon; and an output unit adapted to generate the X-ray two-dimensional projection data by using the pixel signals of the pixels, in which the pixel of the detection unit includes: a plurality of subpixels adapted to perform photoelectric conversion in response to the scintillation light; an AD conversion unit adapted to apply AD conversion to outputs of the subpixels; and an adder adapted to generate the pixel signal corresponding to the pixel by adding up outputs of the plurality of subpixels after the AD conversion. The present disclosure is applicable to an X-ray CT device and an X-ray FPD device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an optical measuring instrument, a flow cytometer, and a radiation counter which reduces a size and a weight of a photodetector, and enables detection of weak pulsed light with a high degree of accuracy and at a high speed. A laser beam source irradiates a specimen to be measured with a laser beam and generates a light pulse of intensity corresponding to the irradiation. An imaging element provided with a pixel including a photoelectric conversion element and an amplification element which sequentially accumulates charges subjected to photoelectric conversion by the photoelectric conversion element for a predetermined period and outputs a as pixel signal according to an accumulated charge amount after the accumulation is completed through the amplification element receives pulsed light in synchronization with incidence of the light pulse by one or more pixel groups including a plurality of pixels and detects a light amount of the light pulse on the basis of the pixel signals of the pixel group. The present disclosure is applicable to the flow cytometer.
