摘要： An improved first, bale-receiving table mounted on a bale wagon is selectively operable in either one of two modes for moving a bale (or bales) upwardly to respectively deposit the bale on either one of two adjacent longitudinal edge side of flat side orientations on a second, tier-forming table of the bale wagon. Two embodiments or species of the improved first table are disclosed, both of which operate in a first one of the two modes to lift the bale, initially resting on its flat side, upwardly through an approximate 90* arcuate path and deposit the bale on its edge side on the second table and in a second one of the two modes to initially lift the bale upwardly at its longitudinal portion located near the second table and thereby dispose the bale in a tilted position with its lower flat side directed upwardly toward the second table and then to push the tilted bale upwardly toward the second table and deposit it on the second table on its lower flat side.

摘要： A compact stack forming machine, having a mobile chassis adapted to move across a field, includes a pickup and conveying system for picking up crop material from the field and conveying the crop material to a location above a compact stack forming means from which location the crop material is discharged to the stack forming means. The pickup and conveying system includes an elevator mounted on the chassis and extending generally upright adjacent to the stack forming means, a pickup suspended from a lower end of the elevator at a rear side thereof for lifting and moving crop material upwardly from the field and directly into the elevator which continues the upward movement of the crop material and a conveyor positioned above the stack forming means and extending generally in a transverse relationship to the elevator, the conveyor having a forward portion located adjacent the rear side of the elevator for sweeping crop material from the elevator and moving the material in a rearward direction toward the location of discharge to the stack forming means.

摘要： A bale wagon, having a load bed for accumulating tiers of bales into a stack, a table for accumulating bales into a tier and being movable for delivering the tier to the load bed and operable means for forming bales into different tier patterns on the table, has improved means for causing the formation of bales into a predetermined sequence of tier patterns. A storage cam has a peripheral arrangement of lobes representing the predetermined sequence of tier patterns. Control means, associated with the storage cam and coupled to the operable means, is responsive to each cam lobe to cause the operable means to form bales into the one tier pattern corresponding to each cam lobe. A rolling rack, movably mounted on the load bed, is coupled to the storage cam such that when the rolling rack is advanced toward the rear of the load bed upon delivery of a tier of bales to the load bed, the storage cam is rotated to bring the next one of its sequence of lobes into association with the control means.
