Abstract: The present invention relates to the preparation of sulphurcurable polymers of ethylene, at least one other Alpha -alkene and at least one poly-unsaturated compound, using a catalyst prepared from an aluminium-halogen compound, e.g. an aluminium trihalide or an hydrocarbylaluminium halide, a transition metal compound, an alkyl or cyclo-alkyl magnesium compound and optionally an activator.
