Abstract: Systems and methods for ordering a replacement component or repair service are disclosed. According to some aspects, condition data indicating a condition of a consumable component may be generated by sensor and transmitted to an order assistance system. The order assistance system may determine whether the consumable component requires at least one of replacement or repair by comparing the condition data with one or more maintenance parameters. Additionally, in response to a determination that the consumable component requires at least one of replacement or repair, the order assistance system may recommend at least one of a replacement component or a repair service in accordance with one or more order parameters pre-selected by a user. In some aspects, an insurance policy associated with the consumable component may be adjusted based on the successful repair or replacement of the consumable component.

Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) system for generating and displaying a pre-disaster Enhanced Situation Visualization (ESV) is provided. The AR system may include an ESV computing device, a user computing device operated by a user and a reference database. The user computing device may transmit a reference request message to the ESV device, the reference request message including an image and/or GPS location of a property. The ESV computing device may determine the subject of the image is the property, retrieve reference information including peril maps associated with the property from the reference database, and determine situation information specific to the subject. The reference and situation information including a loss estimate may be displayed on the user computing device to provide an ESV of the property. The ESV may be used for insurance-related activities, such as handling, adjusting, and/or generating an insurance policy, premium, and/or discount, and/or generating insurance-related recommendations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for integrating the online purchase of a product with the purchase of an insurance policy providing coverage for the product. When a customer initiates the purchase of a product through an online retailer, various aspects include obtaining personal information for the customer, as well as product information for the product. Based upon this information, various aspects may include determining whether the customer is eligible to purchase insurance, and assessing a level of risk in providing a particular type of insurance coverage to the customer. Additionally, various aspects may further include determining an insurance quote based upon this level of risk and transmitting an offer to purchase the insurance policy to the customer. The customer may then purchase the product and insurance policy in one transaction such that binding insurance coverage for the product is provided at the time of purchase.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing user accounts based upon the detection of various usage events associated with mobile or other electronic devices are provided. An electronic device may be located within a vehicle. During operation of the vehicle, the electronic device is configured to detect and record various usage events. Based upon the usage events or absence of usage events, either the electronic device or a remote server may determine how one or more user accounts are affected or impacted. The usage events may be related to type of smart phone usage, such as texting, web-surfing, telephone calls, etc., and/or simultaneous vehicle usage (e.g., vehicle movement or rest). The remote server may process the one or more user accounts accordingly and notify the electronic device of the processing. The electronic device may present any detected usage events or account changes via a user interface.

Abstract: In a computer-implemented method, one or more digital aerial images of a property of a current or potential policyholder may be received. The digital aerial image(s) (e.g., camera images, spectrometer images, LiDAR images, etc.) may be processed according to one or more image analysis techniques to determine one or more features of the property. The property feature(s) (e.g., tree heights, distances between trees and homes, sizes and/or masses of tree limbs, presence of ice dams, etc.) may be analyzed to determine a risk of damage to a structure or object located on the property. Based on the risk of damage, a risk output that includes (i) an indication of whether action should be taken to mitigate the risk of damage, (ii) an indication of whether insurance coverage associated with the structure or object should be offered, and/or (iii) a measure of the risk of damage, may be generated.

Abstract: A method and system may provide customers with rates from multiple insurance providers for purchasing trip-based passenger insurance in autonomous vehicles. A server device may receive vehicle identification information for an autonomous vehicle that is providing transportation services for a user on a vehicle trip. Based on the vehicle identification information, the server device may obtain trip-based passenger insurance premiums from multiple insurance providers and transmit the trip-based passenger insurance premiums and indications of the corresponding insurance providers to the user. When the user selects one of the trip-based passenger insurance premiums, the server device may provide a passenger insurance policy for the vehicle trip to the user.
