Abstract: A tool for use in dental implants. The tool includes a retention element held in the tool shaft via a friction fit. Abstract: A torque wrench, including: a head region with a receiving opening; a bending-resistant shaft region adjoins the head region; a support formed on the shaft region; and an actuating lever including an elastically bendable portion and a handle. The receiving opening receives a screwing instrument and defines an axis of rotation. The actuating lever, in resting position, is spaced apart from the in the circumferential direction to the axis of rotation. If a screwing instrument is inserted into the opening, the actuating lever transmits a torque. The wrench has an indicator region, which the exerted torque can be read as a result of the deflection of the actuating lever. When a reference force is reached, the bending portion comes into contact with the support. When a force is applied, the bending portion can be in the tightening direction and the torque can be read in the region.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of an article by powder injection molding, the process including the steps of providing a feedstock containing a powder of a ceramic, a metal or a metal alloy dispersed in a binder, heating the feedstock, and injecting the heated feedstock into a mold cavity of a mold, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the mold cavity. The process is characterized in that step c) is carried out under the application of vibrational energy onto the feedstock.

Abstract: A self-retaining screw assembly comprising a dental secondary component and a screw. The secondary component comprises a through passage having an apical and a coronal open end, and a screw seat located between said apical and coronal ends. The screw comprises a screw rod and a screw head, the screw head being dimensioned to abut against the screw seat and the screw rod being dimensioned to pass unhindered through the through passage such that the apical end of the rod can protrude from the apical end of the through passage. The through passage further comprises, coronal of the screw seat, a first section and, directly coronal of the first section a second section having a narrower diameter than the first section, such that the second section forms a restriction in the through passage. The screw head comprises a radially outwardly extending retaining element.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dental drill (10) formed of titanium or a titanium alloy having a hardness greater than pure titanium, said drill extending along a central axis (A) from a proximal end (14) to a distal end (16). The drill comprises a shank (12) arranged in a proximal end region of the drill (10) and extending along the central axis (A), a flute portion (20) arranged distally to and running coaxially with the shank (12), said flute portion (20) comprising two or more flutes (22a, 22b, 22c) extending along the flute portion (20) and being interposed by lands (24a, 24b, 24c), the flute portion further comprising a central solid web and a drill tip (26) directly adjoining the distal end (28) of the flute portion (20) and comprising two or more flanks (25a, 25b, 25c) which taper radially inwardly from the distal end of each land in the distal direction toward the central axis (A), each flank (25a, 25b, 25c) comprising a cutting edge (30a, 30b, 30c). According to the invention, at the distal end of the drill point (26) at least one groove (32, 33a, 33c) is formed in the web such that the distal most end (36a, 36b, 37b, 37c) of at least one of the flanks (25a, 25b, 25c) is located radially remote from the central axis (A).
