The tape reel includes a reel hub and a disc-like flange. Reinforcing ribs include an annular rib arranged on an outer periphery of a disc-like flange and a plurality of linear ribs arranged on an outer surface of the disc-like flange so as to extend from a core stabilizing surface rib to the annular rib. The linear ribs are so arranged that each of the linear ribs intersects at least one of the other linear ribs at a position which is further than a midpoint between the core stabilizing surface rib and the annular rib.

摘要： In a tape cartridge of the single-reel type having a hub on which a length of tape is wound, a brake mechanism contained in the hub is movable up and down to apply and release the brake on the tape reel. The brake mechanism and a brake lock release member disposed between it and the hub remain in sliding engagement after the release of the brake, and the resulting friction hampers smooth turning of the hub. Moreover, after the brake lock has been released, the center of the tape reel can be off the center of a rotating shaft of a recorder. The hub of the tape reel has holes formed in its bottom wall for engagement with the brake release plate, the brake release plate is mounted in the hub with legs fitted in the holes of the latter, the brake lock rests on the brake release plate, the brake lock is formed with a dent (or lug) with a spherical end and the brake release plate is formed with a corresponding lug (or dent) with a spherical end on its upper surface. A highly slippery sheet member is interposed between the contacting parts of the brake lock and the brake release plate.

摘要： A tape reel for a tape cassette includes stabilizing ribs positioned on opposite sides of a deposition rib. The stabilizing ribs are lower in height than the deposition rib and are provided with an abutment surface which extends parallel to the joining surfaces of the reel hub and reel flange. As the deposition rib is melted to join the reel hub and reel flange together, the melt distributes uniformly between the joining surfaces of the reel hub and reel flange, thereby preventing any deformation of the tape reel, such as deflection and/or warpage of the outer periphery thereof. A simplified manufacturing process yielding uniform product quality results.

A plurality of connecting ribs are provided joining the outer and inner cylindrical parts of the drum, and extensions are formed outwardly on the inner cylindrical part, on both shoulder portions close to each said connecting rib. Alternatively, a plurality of ribs are formed along the inner circumference of the outer cylindrical part, extending from the outer cylindrical part toward, but short of, the inner cylindrical part.

摘要： A reel spring for tape cassettes includes at least two mounting holes which are formed in the base portion at opposite sides with respect to a tape reel centerline connecting reel centers and in such a manner to be spaced in the direction of the tape reel centerline, and which is used for melt-bonding with the cassette housing. The width of the base portion is substantially the same as that of the end portions. The reel spring is prepared through a cutting step for cutting a stock up to positioning holes from opposite edges of the stock so that the cutting is made with the same width as the width of a reel spring end portion, along separation lines which deviate with respect to the tape reel centerline, extend in parallel with one another and pass in the vicinity of the mounting holes, the separation lines including separation lines for reel spring end portions at one side and separation lines for reel spring end portions at the other side which are out of alignment.
