    Abstract: A pixel includes a switching transistor transmitting a data voltage to a first node, a storage capacitor electrically connected between a first power supply line and the first node and storing the data voltage, first and second driving transistors electrically connected to the first power supply line, the first node, and a second node, and first and second light emitting elements electrically connected between the second node and a second power supply line. An anode of the first light emitting element and a cathode of the second light emitting element are electrically connected to the second node, a cathode of the first light emitting element and an anode of the second light emitting element are electrically connected to the second power supply line, the first driving transistor is a P-type transistor, and the second driving transistor is an N-type transistor.

    Abstract: A display device including: a display panel including a pixel connected to a first scan line, second scan line, and data line, the pixel including: a first switch connected to the first scan line; a second switch connected to the second scan line; and a light emitting element; a low-frequency driving controller to output a first power control signal having a first level in a first mode and a second power control signal having a second level in a second mode; a scan driver including first and second scan drivers to drive the first and second scan lines, wherein one of the first and second scan drivers operates in the second mode; and a data driver to operate in the second mode in response to the power control signal having the second level, wherein the data driver operates at a frequency lower than a reference frequency in the second mode.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel including pixels, a gate driver applying a gate signal to a gate line, a data driver applying a data voltage to a data line and a driving controller determining a mode of an input image data to a moving image mode or a static image mode according to whether the input image data is a moving image or a static image, driving the display panel in a moving image driving frequency in the moving image mode and in a static image driving frequency in the static image mode, operating the gate driver in an alternate driving mode such that the gate driver scans a first group of the gate lines in a first duration and a second group of the gate lines in a second duration and inserting a compensation frame to scan all of the gate lines when an image transition is occurred in the static image mode.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a first partial panel region and a second partial panel region, and a panel driver configured to drive the display panel. The panel driver determines a first driving frequency for the first partial panel region and a second driving frequency for the second partial panel region. When the first driving frequency and the second driving frequency are different from each other, the panel driver sets a boundary portion including a boundary between the first partial panel region and the second partial panel region, and determines a third driving frequency for the boundary portion to be between the first driving frequency and the second driving frequency.

    Abstract: A driving controller of a display device, the controller including a segment divider configured to divide the image signal into a plurality of segments and define a predetermined number of adjacent segments among the plurality of segments as a segment block, an image signal adder configured to add up a gray scale value of the image signal of each of the predetermined number of adjacent segments and output the added-up gray scale values, an average gray scale calculator configured to receive the added-up gray scale values and output an average gray scale value, a correction circuit configured to output corrected added-up gray scale values obtained by adding a weight value to each of the added-up gray scale values on the basis of the average gray scale value, and a driving frequency determiner configured to determine the driving frequency of the display device on the basis of the corrected added-up gray scale values.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a gate driver, a data driver, and a driving controller. The display panel displays an image based on input image data. The gate driver outputs a gate signal to the display panel. The data driver outputs a data voltage to the display panel. The driving controller selectively determines a driving mode of the display apparatus between one of a normal driving mode and a low frequency driving mode, and determines a driving frequency of the display panel based on the input image data. The driving controller includes a flicker value storage storing flicker values for grayscale values of the input image data and a data remapper converting the grayscale value of the input image data to decrease a size of a maximum frequency grayscale area corresponding to a maximum driving frequency in the low frequency driving mode.
