    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a first coordinate calculator, a second coordinate calculator and a gamma setter. The display panel includes a first display area and a second display area. The first coordinate calculator is configured to calculate color coordinates of first image data of the first display area. The second coordinate calculator is configured to calculate color coordinates of second image data of the second display area. The gamma setter is configured to adjust luminance of the first image data, the color coordinates of the first image data, luminance of the second image data and the color coordinates of the second image data.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels and that displays an image in each of a plurality of frames, a driving controller that drives the plurality of frames with a plurality of driving frequencies, respectively, and a voltage controller that provides a first voltage and a second voltage, and the driving controller drives one of the plurality of frames with a first driving frequency and drives another one of the plurality of frames with a second driving frequency, and the voltage controller provides the second voltage to be repeated in a first period in the one of the plurality of frames and provides the second voltage to be repeated in a second period in the another one of the plurality of frames.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel and a display panel driver. The display panel includes a first display area having a first pixel structure and a second display area having a second pixel structure different from the first pixel structure. The display panel driver drives the display panel in a first mode when an image complexity of input image data corresponding to a determination area which includes the first display area is greater than a threshold value and to drive the display panel in a second mode different from the first mode when the image complexity of the input image data is less than or equal to the threshold value.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel with a first display area having a first light transmittance and a second display area having a second light transmittance higher than the first light transmittance. The display device also includes a driving controller which divides an image signal into a first image signal corresponding to a first pixel unit in the first display area and a second image signal corresponding to a second pixel unit and a non-pixel unit adjacent to the second pixel unit. The display controller calculates the second image signal with a preset kernel matrix, and outputs a data signal corresponding to the second pixel unit in the second display area.

    Abstract: A driving circuit configured to receive metadata and image signals, the driving circuit comprising: a meta-data parsing circuit configured to parse the metadata and output parsed metadata; an image analyzing and data processing circuit configured to analyze the image signals based on the parsed metadata and output a parameter and data signals; a reference voltage selector configured to output a reference voltage selection signal based on the parameter and the parsed metadata; a grayscale voltage generator configured to select a plurality of reference voltages in response to the reference voltage selection signal and generate a plurality of grayscale voltages based on the selected reference voltages; and an output circuit configured to convert the data signals to data voltage signals based on the grayscale voltages.
