A display panel driving apparatus includes a user position data output part and a move control part. The user position data output part receives user image data and outputs user position data based on the user image data. The user image data is generated by photographing a user. The user position data is generated by mapping a position of the user to a display panel. The move control part compares a plurality of set area data with the user position data and outputs a move control signal based on the comparison of the user position data and the set area data. The set area data is set to the display panel. The move control signal controls a movement of the display panel.

According to an example embodiment, a 3D providing set of shutter glasses are operated so as to extend their open times beyond a limited duration when the lighting source (e.g., backlighting unit) is providing light and to thus include in the image perceived by the user a proportional amount of ambient light that is directed to and through the shutter glasses during the extended opening time. In one embodiment, a timing control part determines an average grayscale value for each to be displayed image from the received image data and the timing control part correspondingly controls an open time for simultaneously opening the left eye shutter part and the right eye shutter part of the shutter glasses according to the determined average grayscale value of the image data.

A display device includes; a touch panel device including; a touch panel and a touch controller connected to the touch panel, the touch controller including; a sampling unit which samples a sensing output signal input thereto from the touch panel to generate a sampled signal, and an analog/digital converter which converts the sampled signal to generate contact information, and a display panel device including; a display panel, a gate driver which applies a gate signal to the display panel, and a data driver which applies a data voltage to the display panel, wherein the sampling unit samples a portion of the sensing output signal which does not include a coupling noise.
