Abstract: A display device includes: a light source module which includes a plurality of light-emitting blocks; a display panel which includes a plurality of pixels and is divided into a plurality of image blocks corresponding to the light-emitting blocks; a light source module control unit which divides an image signal into the image blocks, generates a color dimming signal corresponding to a first image block among the image blocks, obtains pixel distortion values and pixel improvement values corresponding to each pixel of the first image block by analyzing the first image block, determines whether to perform color dimming or not on a driving signal of a first light-emitting block corresponding to the first image block based on the pixel distortion values and the pixel improvement values, and drives the first light-emitting block based on the determination result.
