    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel having a plurality of pixels, a controller configured to determine a peak luminance based on a target luminance and a black duty ratio that is a ratio of a black insertion period to a sum of an image display period and the black insertion period, to determine gray-luminance information representing a plurality of luminances respectively corresponding to a plurality of gray levels based on the peak luminance and a target gamma value, and to generate gray-voltage information representing a plurality of voltage levels respectively corresponding to the plurality of gray levels based on a target white color coordinate and the gray-luminance information, a gray voltage generator configured to generate a plurality of gray voltages having the plurality of voltage levels based on the gray-voltage information, and a data driver configured to provide the plurality of gray voltages corresponding to output image data as data voltages to the plurality of pixels in the image display period, and to provide a black data voltage to the plurality of pixels in the black insertion period.

    Abstract: A display device is disclosed that includes pixels, a memory, and a degradation compensator. The pixels include light emitting elements. The memory is operable to store degradation information including degradation degrees of the light emitting elements. The degradation compensator is operable to receive the degradation information and generate output grayscales by changing each of input grayscales of the pixels in proportion to each of the degradation degrees. The degradation compensator includes a degradation information changer for changing the degradation information by decreasing a degradation degree having a variation greater than a threshold value among variations of the degradation degrees.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a power supply a current measurer, a controller, and a sensor. The display panel includes pixels connected between first and second power lines. The power supply applies power voltages to the first and second power lines. The current measurer measures a current applied to the display panel from the power supply through the first and second power lines. The controller outputs a first sensing control signal indicating whether to sense a voltage-current characteristic of the light emitting element of at least one of the pixels based on a measured current. The sensor senses the voltage-current characteristic of the light emitting element in response to the first sensing control signal.

    Abstract: A display device includes a set period setting unit for setting, as a set time, a time for which a set period elapses from a time at which a first area included in an input image is detected as a still area, and a gain generator for gradually decreasing an initial level of a gain value down to a saturation level having a lowest value of the gain value from the set time. The set period setting unit differently sets the saturation level of the gain value and a final level of the gain value, corresponding to grayscale values of the first area and a load value of the input image. The load value is an average value of grayscale values of an entirety of an area of the input image.
