Abstract:
An organic light emitting display device comprising: a source device configured to output image data; and a sink device configured to perform a displaying operation based on the image data, wherein the source device is configured to change a frame rate of an image frame composing the image data while the displaying operation is performed, wherein the sink device is configured to change a frame rate of a panel driving frame for the displaying operation as the frame rate of the image frame is changed, and wherein the source device is configured to change the frame rate of the image frame while satisfying a condition in which an emission duty ratio of the panel driving frame is not changed.
Abstract:
A timing controller for a display includes a receiver, a calculator, a storage device, and a generator. The receiver receives data and a data enable input signal. The calculator calculates a length of an input frame based on the data enable input signal. The storage device stores information indicative of the length of the input frame. The generator generates a data enable output signal having a predetermined number of pulses based on the stored length information. The pulses of the data enable output signal are distributed in a substantially uniform manner within an output frame, the data is output synchronized with the data enable output signal.

Abstract:
A liquid crystal display includes a timing controller and a liquid crystal panel. The timing controller sequentially receives first through third primitive image signals and sequentially outputs first through third corrected image signals. The liquid crystal panel displays an image based on the first through third corrected image signals. The timing controller generates a first converted image signal having a first gray level based on the first primitive image signal and stores the first converted image signal. The second primitive image signal has a second gray level and the timing controller generates a second converted image signal having a third gray level higher than the second gray level when the second gray level is lower than the first gray level. The timing controller generates the third corrected image signal using the second converted image signal and the third primitive image signal.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display panel, an input sensor disposed on the display panel, a panel driving circuit which drives the display panel and generates a first driving voltage, and a readout circuit which controls the input sensor. The readout circuit receives the first driving voltage from the panel driving circuit and outputs transmit signals to control the input sensor.
Abstract:
A display system includes a source device that outputs image-data and a sink device that performs a displaying operation based on the image-data. The sink device changes a frame-rate of a panel driving frame as the source device changes a frame-rate of an image frame. The sink device sets a first clock cycle starting point at which a first clock cycle of an emission on-off clock starts as a scan starting point of the panel driving frame when the first clock cycle starting point is consistent with an input starting point of image frame data. The sink device moves the input starting point to a second clock cycle starting point, at which a second clock cycle following the first clock cycle starts, and sets the second clock cycle starting point as the scan starting point when the first clock cycle starting point is inconsistent with the input starting point.
Abstract:
A method of displaying a stereoscopic image and a display device are disclosed. In one aspect, the method includes sequentially writing black data to a portion of the pixel rows during a portion of a first frame period and sequentially writing left eye image data to the pixel rows during the remaining portion of the first frame period and during a second frame period. The method also includes driving the pixel rows to simultaneously emit light during a first emission period, sequentially writing the black data to the portion of the pixel rows during a portion of a third frame period, and sequentially writing right eye image data to the pixel rows during the remaining portion of the third frame period and during a fourth frame period. The method further includes driving the pixel rows to simultaneously emit light during a second emission period corresponding to the fourth frame period.
Abstract:
A signal controlling method for a display device for signal processing between an external system and a display panel that displays an image by receiving a signal from the external system. The method includes receiving N clock signals and N data signals synchronized with the N clock signals from the external system through N channels, N being a natural number no less than 2; writing the received N data signals in N storage units in order of reception time of the N data signals; extracting one clock signal from the N clock signals; and outputting the N data signals written in the N storage units simultaneously in synchronization with the extracted clock signal.
