Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a data driving part and a gate driving part. The display panel includes data lines extending in a first direction and arranged in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, and gate lines including a portion extending in the first direction and a portion extending in the second direction. The data driving part is configured to output data signals to the data lines to drive the data lines. The gate driving part is configured to delay original gate signals according to a decrease of a load of the gate line, and output gate signals generated by the delay of the original gate signals to the gate lines to drive the gate lines.

Abstract: An electroluminescent display and a method of driving the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the display includes a display panel including a plurality of pixel units electrically connected to a plurality of data lines and a plurality of gate lines. The pixel units are arranged in a matrix of a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns, the pixel units in the same column are connected to the same data line, and the pixel units in the same diagonal line of the matrix are connected to the same gate line. The display also includes a data driver located at a first side of the display panel, the data driver being configured to drive the data lines, and a gate driver located at the first side of the display panel and configured to drive the gate lines.

Abstract: A method of driving a display device includes a writing operation and a reading operation. The writing operation includes writing first to Mth frame data in a first frame memory during first to Mth frame periods. The reading operation includes reading (L−M)th and (L−M+1)th frame data among the first to Mth frame data from the first frame memory during an Lth frame period. M may be three or more, and L may be an integer ranging from (M+1) to (2M−1). The frame data read from the first frame memory corresponds to an image to be displayed. Reading and writing operations are further performed for remaining ones of the frame memories.
